I also transcribe/arrange my favorite songs to work well in the soundfonts native to The Legend of Zelda's Nintendo 64 entries. You'll find most, if not all, of the songs come from other video game series I love (e.g. Nier, Xenoblade, and other Zelda titles).
My works are all compatible with the Majora's Mask Randomizer and you will see download links to the music files usable with said project. Some of my works are compatible with the Ocarina of Time Randomizer, but I am currently working on the necessary files for most of my songs.
I do not own rights to any of music or sounds used on my channel. Transcriptions and arrangements posted here are all fan-made creations of mine. All rights are owned by the original composers and companies. As such, all my work is, of course, available to public at no cost to the consumer. All I ask is that you credit me if you use my work in other projects.
I’ve been listening to this track on repeat, haunted by its notes. The beginning sets an unyielding tension with the harp, then the strings at 0:17 come in and build up this tension heavily. These same strings at 0:37, then piano at 0:56 gives me an intense feeling of resignment. Very very sorrowful undertone going on here. But then, at 1:26, the harps emerge-whispers of hope after reaching this high buildup. Everything but the harps playing gives me a sense of stopping and thinking, “what if we’re not completely lost?”, a lightray on the path, quickly running to it, then at 1:50, to resolve this section, this high string note pierces through, almost triumphant, but really doubtfully-you feel like you’re almost there. Then, the quiet notes of the Lost Woods theme play for a second, only to be abruptly interrupted by these deep pizzicato/bass notes. Back to square 1. I don’t know what it is about this last section but it makes my blood run cold everytime. It’s fucking amazing man. Got me feeling despair, and awful amounts of longing and sorrow just thinking about how horrible Link’s soul must feel being so close to vanquishing evil after all he’s done, only for him to end up lost in what looks like Lost Woods. I can’t stop listening to it. You and zerovolt0v are doing amazing music pieces for the z64 modding community. I pray I see more of your stuff in the coming years. And as for this romhack, man… this shit is a true labour of love. Not to glaze u guys heavily but goddamn, amazing work.
Wow, thank you so much! It's rare to find someone who can so clearly dictate the emotions a composer was trying to evoke with their music and hit the nail on the head when doing so. I'm truly flattered and glad you enjoy my work!
Love this song, although I think the in-game reverb of the ocarina is what completes it in the actual game. It feels like a bit of the punch is lost in this upload.
hey! i like your oot adapted tracks and your original songs are a blast! I suscribed a little back before Ultimate Trial was public. It was funny when I realized I was already subbed when looking for your channel on YT x) Great job! Does Skyward Sword music inspire your compositions, or what inspired you to compose Ultimate Trial's?
Glad you like my work! As far as inspiration goes, I wouldn't say Skyward Sword inspires my compositions all that much, though I do like that game's OST and obviously I've paid a homage to it in the Ultimate Trial OST. In general, I would say most of my inspiration for writing music comes from the Xeno series JRPGs, FromSoft games, and from classical and contemporary composers I became familiar when I was teaching music: Richard Wagner, Eric Whitacre, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and John Mackey to name a few. A significant amount of inspiration for Ultimate Trial's OST, however, was derived from the scenes and backstory I was given to work with. This is my first time composing this much in the course of about a year and I can honestly say I never would've managed to do it without Ultimate Trial's team creating inspiring scenery and story to drive and develop my own creativity. I feel extremely lucky that I've had the opportunity to work with such talented people!
@@Zeraphyr_ oh! Of course, that makes so much sense. I've listened to few xenogears songs, I've been told it is a really good game. i only recognize Wagner of all of them, my big sis is musician, too. I'll ask her about the others x) As far I can tell it gives the vibes of a RPG adventure Indeed! That's good to hear :D i can imagine how wonderful was to work with all people involved in Ultimate Trial. When You have good synergy with the team you're working with it becomes a blast! You guys made something amazing. Truly talented, all of you. Congratulations! ✨
Grimstalker was an insanely cool reveal, and fight. Realizing you're up against a fully custom enemy with fully custom music sold me, and it's largely because of this menacing piano. You really knocked it out of the park.
OST is absolutely amazing, the mod would not be as awesome as it is without it. Anyone who wants to make a quality rom hack going forward will be scrambling to get you on their team. Cannot wait to hear what you cook up next!
Kinda makes me think of the fallout 3 elevator music in tenpenny tower. That and the shop theme for Legend of Dragoon. Also sounds a lot like Costa del Sol's theme in FF7
I can't tell you how much this track took me by surprise to hear. It's so beautiful and it brought me to tears. But also made me want to continue the Trials and be the hero we were all meant to be~ Thank you~<3 UwU I know it is from Skyward Sword. But I think I prefer your version more now.
This is the first time since the Missing Link I was desperate for music from an OoT hack. From watching zfg's playthrough, the music immediately stood out.
This trial was very complicated why bosses are stronger, more resistant and with new types of attacks Plus you couldn't heal yourself. (Unless you had potions with you.) But the truth is that this boss Rush was 10 times more difficult, it was very fun and challenging, Because the more times I lost, the more I read the enemy's attacks and thought about strategies against the bosses. Making it easier to beat them. And it's worth passing through, because you unlock 3 crazy things 1.Arrow Bomb 2.The hatch shield. Which allows you to counter-attack.. 3. And open access to the basement where the "Mirror Mode" is hidden They excelled with this hack. Good
Been meaning to give my input a minor as it is but its beautiful, the feeling of passage and tension ahead it gives off and a bit of the og zelda theme slipped in. Truly fortells a great trial ahead.
i know they have the same soundfonts but this track in particular has a starfox 64 kind of feel to it because of the booming percussion and thats really cool
Dude this track is so sick. Just got to the Hero Trial last night and man, hearing the OG theme blasting like this made me immediately want to keep playing, hah! Awesome job with the whole OST, super impressed!
