The great runners of Africa were my heroes and inspiration during my track and X-country days. This incident is disgusting, shameful, and a far cry from the honorable behavior of the majority of Kenyan runners. Losing his Silver medal should have been the least of his problems. He should have been banned from international competition.

This clown should have been banned for life after such and egregious act of poor sportsmanship. I guess the Ethiopian runner just showed who the better man was and won his race.
