Lived there from 1970 till 1984. Changed so much, I doubt if I would recognise the place anymore. Like every other town or village in the country, it’s being overtaken by large estates of unaffordable housing. This country is sinking under the weight of bricks and mortar which most people can’t afford. Stupid or what. Live in Devon now, and it’s going the same way down here.
I lived in Burgess Hill for eight years as a kid. Lovely scenery which is being destroyed at breakneck pace by an unworthy populace who are the most narrow-minded, dim-witted, charmless, sarcastic gits in the entire country.
