Hey there, thanks for visiting my channel, I'm Joe, I like exploring an adventuring on my KTM 890. I try my best to make engaging fun videos for you all. Please like and subscribe, see you out there! 🇬🇧✈️
🌐 What to Expect: Every week, I'll be sharing the highs, lows, and everything in between of my adventures right here on RU-vid. From gear reviews and route planning to on-the-road escapades, you're in for a rollercoaster of emotions and valuable insights. Whether you're an experienced rider or just getting started, there's something for everyone.
Love the west coast. The oil rigs come into loch kishorn for repairs and decommissioning. The oil rigs you were seeing there, is called OCEAN GREATEHITE. 👍👍👌👌
The NC500 is fine for most cars and vans but for a real tour of the highlands come off the NC500 route and use those roads most bikes doing the NC500 are designed for, after doing John O Groats follow the A836 then at Tongue you can come off the route and head south through the hills to Altnaharra A836, more fun than the single track grind of the A838 and no cars as the track is very rough this takes you to Lairg where just before Lairg you can turn onto the A838 and go through even more beautiful scenery passing several lochs before joining the NC500 again on the A894 or go to Lairg and hook across to the A837 and head for Ullapool, these are great roads to ride as is the A835 from Ullapool to Garve through the valley on newish tarmac then take the A832 to Kinlochewe and you can then travel on to Applecross and the pass. The route is longer than the 500 but much less busy and glorious scenery. I did it last year on a fully loaded Rebel 1100 so any bike can do it.
Too much much navel gazing, worrying and "resonating". You're not doing anything original or profound. You're just going on a route that is as common as muck, delightful though it is. Thousands upon thousands have done this route before you and have as great or better insight than you. Just ride it, show the scenery and enjoy it. You're no Jean Paul Sartre! The shots are actually great and very good quality, which does give you some originality. BTW Everyone is entitled to do the route: car, van or caravan, scooter or bicycle. It's not the preserve of "adventure" bikers. So please don't tell others who have less than ideal vehicles that they shouldn't be there.
Hey Joe, you're over analysing it mate. Make the content the way you want it to be. Its the only way you can happy with it. So far so good from what I see. Relax and enjoy the ride. You're doing grand.
Great Job Joe, the bike looks Awesome. A real stealth look, and I bet you'll look back more than once now as you walk away 😊 To finish off, I would delete the yukky orange reflectors on the forks 😐
First time I went up Bealach na bà, it was gale rain and I was stuck behind a cement truck all the way up. And I was almost blown off the road on the way down to Applecross- the weather can be "interesting".
This is the first vlog of yours on my feed. Let the journey do the talking as there is plenty out there to enjoy 🙂 Quite jealous, always phissing down when I go up there. Still love it.
I don't personally know anyone who has NOT bought the Tech Pack. Save the money if you don't want it, buy it if you want more bike. Like the difference in car options, it costs money for more options.
Fair play, I’ve been apprehensive of doing decals as I’d make a giant cluster f#*” of it, but I’m definitely considering it after this. My 2 cents is change the mirrors, did it on my norden, helped with wind buffering massively and also made it look a lot nicer, well I think it did. I also went to vanasche motorsports and brought all their products, did I need them ??? probably not but they look trick.
I’m one who actually likes the standard look of the KTM 890, but that wrap kit makes it look so much better. Do you think you’ll do any more to the bike?
Joe , just keep doing what your doing, it's cool mate, not forced, it's relaxed and it's enjoyable 😊 You got me excited when you entered Drumbeg, we stayed there at Tor Druim , cracking B&B and surrounded by the most stunning scenery and nature. Safe travels.... M.
the trip was great. the scenery, the roads are extremely beautiful. you have a good motorbike and its sound is so exciting i love everything in your video.
I think people appreciate grit and honesty in videos more than anything, you feel more immersed. Really enjoying the series and the view in this video are simply stunning. Atb, Dave
Excellent video, and I'm enjoying your other ones as well! I know we all take inspiration from yours and other peoples videos, and I really appreciate people taking the time to film, edit and post them. For me also, Long Way Round gave me the initial inspiration, and then it was some time before I actually took my test and started riding, but I do love it, and I've now done 3 couple of week trips in europe. Thanks very much!
Excellent video, thanks very much!! I was actually trying to think my next trip, and you've inspired me to have a look up in Scotland, so thanks very much! Safe travels and all the best.
Enjoying the videos, lots miss it but there is a quite famous cafe chocolate shop called Cocoa Mountain in Durness on a little think ex military barracks type place along with some other shops. A bit pointless now but maybe if you do the journey again something to look out for.
Hey dude don’t be so hard on yaself or over analytical, I watch the videos for you ya seem down to earth regular guy doing stuff on his bike not for lavish trips or top gear style shananigans
Great series. Do you think 5/6 days was a tight squeeze? Agree just be yourself. I did not spot any herds of haggis sweeping majestically across the grasslands.😅
Hey Joe Mate, you’re really watchable just being yourself. Huge props to you for what you said at the start of this one. We all know the channels you’re talking about, and it DOES start to grate after a while.. We’ve only seen your NC500 vids cos we did the same trip last summer, even stayed at The Caledonian! Really enjoying it though. Keep doing you ❤
Joe for the love of all things, JUST BE YOU.... If people don't like it then they don't have to watch. We as in most people can smell BS a mile away. Yes we need to push ourselves but just be you Don't be afraid of putting in the bad as well as the good. Ya doing great fella👍👍
Very well said and your right me as a RU-vidr went down the same path of performing for the camera but I also quickly realise that wasn’t me, being yourself is always the best way but you still have to make it interesting and that’s the pressure pleasing the audience! I also found it burnt me out but now i find it much more enjoyable. I have watched all this trip back to back now and I think your a good creator and editor, I’ll keep following but remember we need to keep people engaged as you already know 👍
Riding though glencoe was amazing for me too buddy, I can’t wait to get back up there, I was lucky when I did my videos up there with the weather but it’s all part of the fun! Did you go to the green welly on the A82? Fort William is a nice place I do hope your back gets better mate, great video I’ll throw you a sub and maybe meet up some point for a ride out for RU-vid 👍
Fantastic first effort series, great insight as to the good and bad. Enjoy making the videos as much as your subscribers love watching them, look forward to seeing more and your channel grow 🏍👍
