I haven't hung it outside yet. If they're barely noticeable I'll probably leave them, but if they're too obvious, off they'll come. I liked the striped fabric but solid red and white ribbons could be used too.

I think it makes it look more rustic. I did trim off a lot of the excess 'threads' from ripping te fabric, but not all of them. Think it needs a different hanger, the white satin ribbon clashes with the style.

Here's a link to the supplies used. I included the ink mat, but if you're new to chalking/inking and are just trying it out, you can eliminate it and use a piece of smooth cardboard if you wish. And of course if you prefer different colors, go ahead and swap them out. The individual ink packets will give you enough ink to do this project multiple times.
