I had a similar fantasy a few months ago. Musk taking ayahuasca in the amazon and having horrific visions being on Mars and then changing his life. Your video gave me the biggest goosebumps ever🤯
While the video is well-crafted, I think the psychological interpretation here feels a bit off. Ambitious entrepreneurship isn’t always a form of compensation for unmet emotional needs or a desire for unconditional love. It can also stem from a genuine drive to solve significant problems and to lead efforts in organizing resources to address those challenges. It's true that Elon had a difficult relationship with his family, but rather than purely seeking validation or compensating for an abusive relationship, it seems more nuanced. His ambition may reflect an effort to gain control over areas where he once felt powerless and to channel that control towards making a positive impact. It’s likely a mix of rebellion, healing, and a drive to contribute, but even that is an oversimplification. Despite these reservations, I appreciate the artistic quality of the video, and I respect your creative direction. Moving forward, it could be even more compelling to explore the complexities of ambition and human psychology with greater depth. The notion that ambition would disappear if someone was fully loved oversimplifies the human experience. It's entirely possible for someone to be ambitious and feel loved at the same time-look at examples like Brandon Sanderson, who embodies both.
I don't think this is a true representation of Sam's psychology or the situation at openAI, but it is a well-made movie and an interesting way to give alignment more attention.
It seems like one of those comic book movies where we have a scientist pushing for progress, but in the end, the world nearly comes to an end, and the scientist admits they were wrong.
Hey you from the future who watches this now and is amazed at how accurate things turned out 👋 some of us knew it would happen, sry we couldn't stop it
Is there any real justification for all this Sam Altman hate. Yeah some top people left, but as far as I know, we don't actually know why. Maybe he forced them out for good reason. Unless there's known information I'm just not aware of? edit: nice video though. I just don't necessarily agree with it is all.
No hate, sam has put himself in a very unique position, he wants to be the one to bring AGI to the world and has ignored the warnings from his ex co-founders and coworkers so this is like an intervention but done with care and love not hate
It sounds cool but i don't think ai will take over 😂 they know better, you will know what I'm talking about when u use them a lot, this is what the boomer thinks
"They know better" is so ignorant. When we're building a new shopping center and there is an Ant hill, do we stop construction because "we know better"? No. We continue on because it benefits us. We will be the ants.
