@linedriver1 Yes that's absolutely correct. have you seen a book called "The Hunter In British Service"?. In one of the chapters it details the Indian pilots who were given training on the Hunter Mk66 here in the Uk, and the unfortunate loss of one pilot in a crash. infact many Indians came to the Uk for other training as well in the 50's, namely our fledgling early naval commandos who were trained at Portsmouth at the naval base there at the dive centre.
@biker185 . Apparently Hunters can stiil be seen flying in many smaller air arms of the world. Your air force for example still does, as you have said. I however have only emphasised the fact that my country, India, has finally retired the Hunters from active front line duty and have replaced them with more modern jets.
