Seriously this interview is awful. Feel bad for the chef who appears to be a consummate professional in his own right, and has to sit here with somebody who doesn’t even have the courtesy to prepare pertinent questions

July, 2024 When we were at Waikiki, we ate lunch & dinner all week at Stix's Honolulu Noodles Restaurant (a Taiwan restaurant) which has home-made beef&bone&23 Chinese dry herbs& Chinese mushroom broth without MSG(did not get dry on our tongues after consumption) boiled up to 72 hours! Noodles & won ton wrappers are home-made too! We like the hearty piping hot Beef Soup Noodles & the hearty piping hot Won Ton Soup Noodles! Natural, nutritious& tasty! Clean Very good service too! 11am-2pm Beef Soup Noodles special price $15(a $6 off) served with green Bok Choy leaves & sliced green onions. Free condiments like hot chili sauces, beef butter,& pickled vegetables are served separately with the beef soup noodles also. 2-4pm Offered with regular price Beef Soup Noodles& the same condiments mentioned above are hot chili sauces & Taiwanese Kimchi free condiments served separately with the 3 FREE POTSTICKERS. In this part of the video I also surprised that don't serve tea sandwiches like they do in NYC hotels and resorts very interesting and I remember years ago when I worked at a Irish restaurant that a party came in and ordered tea sandwiches and I asked Margo who was making them and she said Shawn and she said that he doesn't keep how to make them,so I made them and they were very happy.and you can only find them at a hotel not a Cafe or restaurant and they are very easy to make just use your imagination egg salad, tuna, chicken sauce, tomato, cucumbers, smoked salmon, anything something light like a snack garnished with fresh flowers or vegetable flowers or both. Simple yet elegant and people will pay for them.

In this part of the video she mentioned king Kamehameha landed on the Kahala Hilton and she also mentioned ALII which means Royalty but he setting in NUUANU Valley where I am from and on the Pali highway there is a park called QUEENS EMMA PARK and she is buried there she was the 2nd queen to live and the other queen is queen liliokalini but my brother knows more than me about the valley and I have royal Hawaiian blood from my mother, and I remember years ago when my 2 nieces were enrolled at Kamehameha school and they had to prove that they had Hawaiian blood and my father gave them the proof, the 1st one is a registered Rn,and the 2nd one is a doctor and both graduated 1st in there class and Jerry there mother was a school teacher and my mother when he came back from Vietnam was a fire man then he was a customs agent at the airport a federal agent has more power than a FBI agent and I was.very surprised and my uncle was chief of detective s at the police department in Honolulu as my father told me it's the what you know rather it's who you know people in high places and I really years ago that my grandfather went to school with an ex governor JOHN BURNS and down the road is another ex governor George Ariyosi because his sons came up to play football many wealthy people live up here and you would not know it versus low key people big places and very expensive cars behind steel gates. But grandpa bought the place as he was a surgeon and grandma was a school teacher because she was a tutor to the 1st premiere of Taiwan. But my father always taught me to remain Humble and remember your heritage as I am 4th generation and my kids are 5th generation and they are all grown with there own families but I am still there father.

In this part of the video he doesn't tea,and in Chinese you say Cha,or hung tea,or buddy cha.and years ago when I was the executive chef at a hotel called Bar Nine on the Westside of Manhattan I ordered different types of tea's to tea time with tea sandwiches like I learned from working at 2 hotels also in Manhattan where the money is.

In this part of the video he mentioned the KAHALA HOLTON and when I was at home he took us there and it's very expensive even the Hilton Hawaiian Village at the Rainbow Bazaar but anything Hilton is expensive not like the other hotel chain's but here in the APPLE they are all expensive especially in Manhattan not queens, the Brooklyn ,and the Bronx as I am very NUUANU VALLEY OFF the Pali highway last light before the tunnels old Pali road but I enjoy watching these videos but Many people are leaving because it's too expensive cost of living and I remember 😀 that storm hit Maui, and people were going to see if the residents would sell their homes, and people got very mad as I would have been mad as well how dare you but I want to visit this year or next year as Hawaii never gets cold except in the volcanoes high elevation
