The trouble the ray mears tribe is that they dont understand black military humour. One day, I was in a pub with lofty having some grub. He said to me, "Go over to a 6ft 3-inch guardsman at the bar and say . What is the difference between an Irish guardsmen and a slice of bread? He drew up to his full height and said, "Don't know. " I removed myself as quickly as possible, saying you can make soldiers out of a slice of bread, but you can't make a soldier out of an Irish Guardsman.😂😂
Just shows how intelligent you have to be to serve in the SAS. Knowledge knowledge knowledge. Anyone can be thick. It takes intelligence to retain this level of information. Great guy.
I’m in the USA, I first found his book for a couple bucks$ in a run down old used bookstore in my early 20’s, and it opened my eyes to survival/existing in the woods… I’m now 39 and to this day carry a Parang in my car and every time I go into the woods, such an amazing simple tool he taught me about! I can go off into the deep woods anywhere with JUST a parang, and a way to procure clean water and be comfortable & confident living like a king in the woods off grid!!

Lofty old school top man always gave good advice. I trained with men like this at jungle war fair school JB as a young man 18. Iv followed these rules ever since. Stay safe and positive pilgrims.
It’s worth remembering that this is the guy who was training the guys that went into the Iranian Embassy siege and shot the terrorists. It was the terrorists that were the ‘grey men’ than managed to make it out of the building without becoming brown bread. The advice is good 😎

Cheers for this, I've been looking for "zombie attack survival guide" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Ryanzon Survival Genie - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate got cool results with it.
He is a wonderful man Lofty and I'm blessed to have known him in my life. I got stranded in Glasgow in 2017 and had to tuck in somewhere for the night because all the hostels were booked up. It was a classic case of maintaining a balance - you know not projecting fear and not attracting attention either. Here's the video if interested. I'd pray that I would have the courage to save other by taking down the attacker if possible and not hiding in a foxhole. We are talking about crazy zealot murders, not hostage situations or gentleman fighting in wars
