Building scale models from aircraft, armor and sci-fi. Mostly WWII and Vietnam era. I'm a big Star Wars geek so we are also going to be 3d printing and scratch building a lot of Star Wars related stuff. Who knows what we might end up building! I'm happy to answer any questions about my building process also take advice and learn even more about this great hobby!
That was an excellent build! The camo pattern was really challenging but you've nailed it together with the chipping efects (well worn, but not a derelict)! Thanks for sharing Floki, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Nice work! The O-1 Bird Dog is like the little brother to the Cessna 180, I have that old Monogram kit with pontoons and thought it'd be neat to paint it up as a US navy bird but what would the navy need with a 180 Skywagon? Observation? Liasson transport? Quick delivery of certain small items needed at critical areas? All those things. Happy modeling.
Great video. Just use soapy water or a little bit of dish washing liquid mixed with water and spray it on the model first, then put the vinyl mask down. It should be much easier to place and slide around to where you want. It also makes it easier to remove any bubbles too (of course spray a protective coat on your model first).
Wonderfull work done Floki, you recorded everything and you also took us with you from the begining until the end of a dio construction! Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Very nice video about the way your idea has gone her way. Great result of this interesting idea, well executed. Cool build, Floki. Loading of the Sd.Kfz.222 for the Afrika Korps. Best wishes and a nice weekend. Joachim
I often wonder on some modelers builds on putty welds whether they take them out of scale of the model comes with the weld texture molded in? This is a question not a comment. I saw one modeler simply use a brush to put silver weathered marks on the welds which looked great. Idk.
Lot of times I will just leave the kit welds in place and just add my own to where the kit didn't have them trying to keep them consistent with the kit welds. Of course if I absolutely obligate the kit welds while sanding and filling I will add my own
Amazing video! Thanks! I just bought this kit. At the end of the video you mention about the next part where you show weathering. But I don’t see it. Did you decide not to do it? Thanks again!!
Thank you very much! I work on the X-wing in the video where I also build a base for it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2MVGgCdE_gI.htmlsi=r6LRt6tBM-j2HTZc
Really impressed with your setup, especially the 3d printed wall organizer. Came out great! Pretty sure I have that same arm camera mount, if you got it off Amazon. Also congrates on getting first place!
Thank you very much! Yep I got the camera mount on Amazon, I've tried several that didn't work out before finding this one. Going to get a second to install over at the spray booth
Wow, your 3d printer must be on fire!!!! Look at all those cool and usefull solutions for organising the bench! Fantastic! Congrats on winning the 1st place on the show, Normandy dio is coming along nicely! Thanks for sharing Floki, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Thank you so much George! I don't think the new printer has rested much since buying it, I've constantly been printing something. Thanks for watching, take care and model on my friend.
Nice update mate :) Congratulations on the 1st place buddy . Its well deserved :) Keep on the good work and model on . A merry Christmas to you and your family . All my best wishes for 2024 mate . Stay all safe and well ; Greetings Ozzy
Nice update. Congrats on the 1st place. The Normandy diorama is going to be super cool. Love the clone helmet. And your new storage system is really awesome and efficient. Great looking work area you have there. Merry Christmas!!
That Stormtrooper's helmet must have been the one worn by the soldier that bumped his head on Star Wars IV, A new hope. Merry Christmas to you, and your loved ones.
Just subscribed to your channel. This technique is by far the best palm tree making method I have ever seen !!! Very good tutorial. Should have kept some feathers from Thanksgiving dinner last week... 😂
Not yet hoping to have some time at the end of this month to work on it again. It fell off my shelf and some parts broke that I need to 3d print again.
@@FlokisModelsthat sucks man. I am thinking of making my own, with a different, and stronger neck mechanism to make less wobble. I also was brainstorming ideas for a functional telescoping neck, like in the game. I am REALY good at mechanical design, but can't quite figure out coding arduino though, that's why I'm kinda stuck at the brainstorming stage
Thanks for this tutorial. I'm about to start my first seatbelt and the idea of threading the buckles before cutting them is going to save me a lot of time. :)
I have ordered a Bambu lab p1s to replace my old ender 3, once I get it setup and print out the parts that broke then this project will finally be finished, hope to have time to work on in around Thanksgiving
Oh man I would really like to see. I'd like to modify mine to ride a human, and I'd like to modify the base and controller, but - it's really hard to find any significant finished images or videos of those parts to see what is intended. There seems to be a ton of empty space in the base, but the instructions are not totally clear. This is a great video and I do hope to see the rest of your build. Thank you for sharing.@@FlokisModels
@diskoleopard that would be really cool to see. I know I personally don't have the skill for that. If you have discord, email me your username, email is in the about section of my channel page. And I'll send you some photos of the electronics in the base
Also: thank you for showing close ups of what you are doing. I appreciate anyone willing to share their process, but so many people focus the camera on their face and one can barely see the build!
