Gotta say as much as the excessive bloom and blur was a product of its time, I wish that some games incorporated it back into their visual style becoming more experimental in its UI design as well in correspondence to the vastly increased geometric density that modern hardware and graphics engines can provide. Everything is too clean and too tailored to games that have achieved success and it's turned into a formula that pervades not just game design but artistic direction.
Even I haven’t played this game before, but I fuckin love the menu theme. I actually had a Wii version of this game, but I got rid of it because I couldn’t use a different Wii controller on the game.

I still remember when i beat the game for the first time . I had to win a carbon canyon race i guess after beating darius if i remember correctly . I was playing on my parents' tv and my father kept asking me to let him watch a cricket match or something and i kept asking him to wait and wait because after i beat final race , i had to run to a safe house to save it . Good days .
the fear and excitement i had back when i was a child. EVERYTIME!!! canyon races always got me so stressed out. sweating right after trying my absolute best to beat a boss race and to come back to the home screen with this music playing.😂
