Remember seeing doug do this with Saloon at newtown RSL early to mid eighties. He also did a top version of cherakee fiddle where he emulated all the pedal steel licks on an empardor strat copy that sounded better than the real thing. RIP Doug Rowe.
Lovely little Train Song. First appeared onThe Flying Circus’s Bonza, Boom, Boom …. Album around 1970/71 just before they left for Nth America, with lead vocals by James Wynne? Two train lovers…. James and Doug. 😊💕
Ah yes, I believe you are correct there……The train whistle blows. Takes me back to 20 odd years to Steamfest; sitting in the first carriage behind a Steam Locomotive racing a low flying yellow Tiger Moth back from Broadmeadows Station to Maitland, under full steam. The coal smoke streaming by and my friend’s autistic son sitting opposite grinning & laughing from ear to ear, us too. The most thrilling train ride I’ve ever taken. We rocked & rolled and flew those miles through The Hunter. Doug & James eould have loved it too. 😄🚂🚂🚂💖
Only ever got on it from Grafton to Sydney or Sydney to Grafton late 70s to mid 80s when I was in the Army going on leave. I did get on at Murwillumbah once in March 2000 but it was the XPT. Sadly it wasn't the same.

Yep every Waterway has its challenges ,,, but on the bright side the Tuggerah 3 Lakes System has ...No Tides /No Sharks and no Manly Ferry Traffic ... try getting out on Sydney harbour on a Weekend .ha ha ha
No ...there is no Sharks in either of the 3 Lakes as far as i know .... all 3 Lakes are very Shallow even the Centre of Tuggerah Lake [roughly 20ft / 7 meters] ... they would have to be pretty small to get across the Rock Ledge at The Entrance where Surfer's Surf Quite Regularly ... the Sea Level and Lakes levels are nearly Level and not like Lake Macquarie Entrance which has a Deeper Lake ... i have Sailed and Canoed around both Lakes in the past 10 years even up the Wyong River where the Locals swim and no Bull Sharks have been seen ,,,, and also if there were any small sharks in the 3 Lakes System the Commercial Fisherman who are out regularly on Tuggerah Lake would have sighted one ...
The cat capsized because the main was cleated in, and the boat was hit with a gust. These kids should have been given a proper lesson in getting the boat upright. A really poor effort from instructors. Uncleat the main first, and then lean right out on the hull. I can recover from a capsize in about a minute
Were you guys having so much trouble righting the boat because the main sheet was still cleated and causing the sail to hold water? I own a wave but have not flipped it yet.
Gee i wish i did have ... Video was taken by Trevor in the Band ... i will mention it to him next time i see him ... Great memories of his home cooked Country Meals your Dad made and those Spirited Discussion's around the Dinner Table with everyone at your house ... Fun times.
Hello! I'm thinking of buying this action cam. It seems it has a built-in stabilization system. Was it activated during the making of this video? Thanks.
sorry for the late reply been busy … cant remember … tried clamped on the handle bars and was too jumpy … bought a over shoulder Harness and it seemed to be a reasonable result .
