I love 'Target'. I don't pretend it's great, but I don't like it ironically either. (Not a "so bad, it's good' situation). Matt Dillon is obviously the weak link in the film, but his contribution is mitigated because the character is dimwitted and moody, so great acting is not really essential for him. It has silly spy game riddles and intrigue, certainly no more absurd than any legit action film, and better than most of the shlock that comes from the 007 franchise.
Three Amigos is great! Just watched it again last week before I saw this. SO many great lines. "You could take me and kiss me on the veranda." "On the lips would be fine." Infamous? INFAMOUS? "Gonna make it...gonna make it...gonna make it...not going to make it."

Return to Oz was EXCELLENT! It's wrong that they saw this video through the 1939 movie.😊
I’ve always thought about Meryl Streep as the female Tom Cruise in that she just plays a generic white woman in everything. I’ve never actually seen her transform into a character the way Amy Adams does.
i really think siskel is being a pedantic jerk who 100% would go home and write down every single time he got a "win" on ebert in some book the size of the chicago yellow pages. that being said, sometimes both of them had trash taste. but to answer the most important question of 1993, i would watch carnosaur over cop and a half. i dont think i've seen either but carn is at least on my watchlist (with its 2 sequels).
The scene where Dan Akroyd was in the car chewing and blowing a bubble with a condom while Sinbad was driving was actually pretty hilarious considering the movie was crap haha 😆
Howard the Duck, the character, has some analogue in the "Tramp" character that Charlie Chaplin used so masterfully and often that he practically typecast himself. The Tramp is a likable person who has a string of bad fortune not of his doing, but he keeps up his optimism and does what people most wanted to see in themselves in the Tramp era -- someone making the best of bad situations while keeping his optimism and fundamental decency intact. "Howard" in contrast, is simply a misfit with no redeeming virtues and can get by only on luck. He does not create empathy in his character, and pure luck is a weak plot line. This movie needed a script doctor with red pencils in bulk to make it work. I can imagine myself as one, and if I were one I would have left whether he wanted to stay here or return to his home planet a possible cliffhanger. I'd make him more likable... and created the potential for a sequel!
It’s always interesting when they pick classic movies that a whole lot of people love like hocus Pocus. But I also like super Mario Brothers and the Beverly hillbillies they’re not great movies, but I find them funny. And men in tights that movie was just great.
