I was lucky enough to be part of the Philippine production in 1996 which starred Miss Saigon stars Monique Wilson and Leo Valdes. It was a beautiful experience and quite a number of songs are actually radio-friendly and memorable. Anthem is my fave of them all.
@xtremesenda Why do you think so? This is not the world's best video. There are are other versions of Josh singing this song on RU-vid with better sound, which might change your mind. Also, they have different styles of singing this song, Josh having a deeper sound, but that is merely a matter of preference, the style one likes. I find Josh has a more commanding stage presence, and therefore gives a more riveting performance.
@@thomasbonilla4316 Josh is a baritone. When he was younger he was a barytenor, but his voice has continued to deepen, possibly heading towards being a bass. That happens to some guys
@@straightarrow372 Why are there comparisons between Josh Groban and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau? There are completely two different types of baritones singing opera. Even Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, and his recording of Der Erlkonig considers himself to become more of a mature lyric baritone. Josh sounds like spinto or a dramatic baritone to me. Comparisons always jerked me. This gentlemen deserves classical music to become the next operatic baritone at the Metropolitan Opera or Los Angeles Opera.
