GRAMMY® Award winning classical music label Yarlung has produced an eclectic catalog of impeccably recorded performances by a roster of adventurous musicians, including many that are well-known and others soon to be.
Yarlung's production and sonic model is distilled from the recording industry's glorious past-one that pessimists were certain could never be successfully resurrected-while its forward-thinking business and distribution model points the way towards a healthy future for a "record business" long given up for dead.
For older lovers of recorded classical repertoire, Yarlung's catalog represents a return to sonic and musical greatness. For younger ones familiar only with dynamically and spatially compressed low resolution recordings, these from Yarlung are like 3D IMAX but without the glasses.
Sweet,Smooth consummate, professional. She is such a pleasure to listen to. I appreciate the hard work she puts into her music. She has a real nice vibe.🎉😊
This video does a pretty good job introducing people to Yarlung's mission and platform. Thank you Don for asking the right questions and giving me the chance to expound! You and your fellow panelists and students are all very much appreciated. --Bob Attiyeh
Each of these extremely brief musical excerpts contains a universe of superb instrumental and cultural interaction. [A promo worthy of having included an image of the great Ravi Shankar playing one of his own compositions.] Bravo!
Congratulations to your amazing team. I'm mesmerized by this music. And lovely words - it's so true, we really understand the composer and performers better when we see them live.
Yuko has a strong accompanyment with Del Atkins bass(Newport 1980), and the renound Bobby Breton, drums. Very much under the Direction of Billy Mitchell. - try them all out to see what I mean.
Nice to see this program all in one place. Various pieces are also posted individually to RU-vid. Yuko's style is hypnotizing. Several pieces have surely set markers for others.

This music makes my blood thrill and my spine tingle. The combination of the spiritual power of the music and the unearthly beauty of Taos makes this a powerful contribution to the Yarlung Records oeuvre. The label is entering new territory here, and I, for one, am grateful.
