I am making a call out to anyone who like to make things - we need a fruit picker that can handle barbadine and soursop. None of what they sell on the market is wide enough to handle these big fruits. I bought a different style of picker it has a type of v-shaped blade on either end so it would cut through the stem. Unfortunately, it too isn't wide enough. Here is how I had to pick a soursop recently. I hung a bucket from the fruit picker like you have there and had my sister hold it up under the fruit. Then I took my pole saw to cut the fruit down so it would drop in the bucket.
Very nice family farm and I must say, very educational and informative video. I'm from Couva and I am definitely looking forward to more videos like this ❤
Nice video, I understand the need to bring produce into the market, but the farmer had me until he said that he sprayed his plants with pesticides. There are other ways to protect plants and produce without pesticides. Pesticides are the reasons for lots of different cancers in humans and animals and less sperm counts in men and the eggs in women, it is absorbed through the human skin and remains on the skin of the fruit, it even kills the natural insect predators of problem insects, it kills the pollinators, the other wildlife, the natural earth nutrients that the fruit needs to be in full nutrition . I for one will not buy pesticide sprayed produce. Good luck to those who aren't choosy about what the eat. What you eat becomes you.
Thanks for sharing. In a previous video you showcased a mulberry plant, do you know if they periodically shed their leaves in a warm climate ? I know they are deciduous in cold climates but mine is in Jamaica and it has lost its leaves. Thanks for any info.
Hey, loved the video and seeing those very healthy plants! Kinda disappointed you skipped over my fave the Aralia lol! Quick question on the Fiddle Leaf Fig, is it similar to the large tree called "Sea Grapes"? It looks the same. If you like color and variety you should look at crotons too.
God bless you..i admire the fact that you thanked God..I believe that you know that its truly with him all things are possible.May God continúe to bless you in all things..I see your Faith.
Some people boil arrowroot like tipppy tambo. It's a starchy root crop. You are correct the plant you were not sure of is cordyline. What is the name of the first pink flower you showed?
Hey Luke, great video, really enjoyed the tour and I learned a lot! I learned plant names that I didn't know, I learned how arrowroot grows and most importantly, I learned the only thing better than fertilizer to make your plants grow and bear fruits is threating to cut them 😂. Thanks!
I will definitely do that!!! I will threaten the plants, cut off some of the branches of my trees and show them me feeding them to the rabbits then I'll wait to see what happens!
You can start with a grow box or container gardening at first to gain the Knowledge. Grow simple vegetables at first lettuce, Patchoi and tomatoes, evening some seasoning.
