DAMASTEEL® is the best performing stainless Damascus patterned steel in the world using the latest gas-atomized PM technology with very high cleanliness.
It almost has to be two PM stainless steels forged into Damascus, because PM steel is a completely homogenous material. The whole point of using gas-cooled powder is to provide a uniform grain size and molecular mixing, which would make it very difficult to consistently sinter the steel powders into Damascus pattern billets.
I have no doubt the smiths of our ancestors are both honored how you all have continued to hone the craft, and jealous of how beautiful you can make it.
This was a FANTASTIC video. Informative. Easy to listen to. Great animated graphics. A focus on safety which is often overlooked, especially with chemicals. I just got my first Damasteel knife and will be posting the unboxing video and showing it off to the world this Friday. I can't wait!
thank you! I am sure I will be getting another Damasteel. I am sure you saw my knife by now, but just in case, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ub1cb4G7ZUA.htmlsi=Tk2toECc16fIXCSO @@Damasteel

I made 2 knives thus far with Damasteel. It was a beautiful steel to work with. Absolutely love the stuff! I used Leo IV which I believe is almost out of stock. Glad i got a chance to use it before it is all gone.
Otroligt arbete från Peter och Damasteel! Känner lite stolthet över att dessa underbara svärd tillverkades i Sverige med det bästa av svenskt hantverk och teknik. I hope we'll see more of your work on the show -- there's a couple other Valyrian steel swords that play a role in the course of the events of the story...
Fantastic work! Beautifully made swords with the your excellent steel and great videography as well. Really nice to see some of the process that goes into it, can't wait to do another project with Damasteel!
So does the patent for damasteel mean that I'm not allowed to use powdered steels to make a damascus blade? Or is it only a specific powdered steel that's patented?
your damascus is second to none it’s a pleasure to work with looks fantastic an fairly priced for the process it takes to make it although my old lady would disagree so it’s been a little while ..... what i would do with a 24” x 2” piece of that beautiful piece of metal ( it be fun to work with) so if you have an scraps don’t be shy to contact me i’m waiting on a piece of RWL 34 now my first piece of that
