I just bought the game on steam and after that this video legit appeared on my timeline lol 😂 I’m doing his route rn bcs Idk what the order is (I picked him first bcs he appeared on the top of the selection list) and I haven’t watched the anime either, so you can say I’m going in blind playing this for the very first time 😅 I’ll save this video for later as a guide if I get stuck trying to reach the good ending so tysm :D
can't help but cry watching this, every time. damn. it's so beautiful. and plus the nostalgia... this was my first otome game and I was a CHILD I was not ready to cry like that. still love it to this day❤
2:35 ish is a moment that stuck with me years after playing the game. Stens beliefs and bioware essentially saying "this isn't exactly the most stereotypical fantasy setting" makes one of my favorite moments in all of dragon age.
Not really, there is just too much disgust for her since she was part of that mass murder attack in the beginning. Plus Adam doubts she can be reasoned with. It's easier to let her die, especially since she refuses to talk at all which can be a sign of great agony regarding your own existence. One could say this was the max amount of kindness Adam could provide without making it too easy by shooting her dead before she died from blood loss.
This was a masterclass in storytelling. I'll never forget that moment when you learn Eliza's true identity. It was terrifying yet incredible because it wouldn't be so hard to believe if a super AI was spinning the news for us already. Disguising itself as just the regular news anchor catching all the latest gossip and making us believe what it needs us to believe.
Based on all the comments I read i thought this would be a really scary yandere route but it was really not 😅 If people are going to compare otome characters to real life situations, then you basically can't watch or play anything because it's all so unrealistic and wouldn't make sense in the real world.
@@RoboticHawk Sure, I just finished the Amnesia anime and I was really confused that who did heroine end up together with. I wanted it to be shin so badly but there's nothing like that in the end. But in game, I guess we can choose different worlds. Still, I wanted it to be shin with her at the end
I read under a video about Amnesia (the anime, I think) that people in Japan hate Kent the most because he reminds them of their fathers (/male relatives/ex boyfriends/...) and having played Hakuoki and 7'Scarlet, I can definitely see this problem in those games: There are several love interests that look down on the MCs, regularly criticize, ridicule or nag them for doing anything not flawless etc. But Kent? No, I don't see it. I think he is an autistic-coded character who knows his difficulty reading and understanding people and is open to critique and strives to do better. And I relate to him and understand him well. A former friend once told me she didn't like Kent because he's boring and I get that - his route is pretty devoid of action and drama. That's why I'm so astonished at all the people loving Kent as much as I do 🥰
Hm, that's interesting - I had no idea he was received so poorly! Kent is my favorite from the original game, mostly because Waka wasn't a possibility. :D You really nailed his personality, and that's exactly what I like about him - honest and open about his mistakes, genuinely interested in improvement and willing to talk about things. My dream guy! He's not boring at all, he is playful and willing to be adventurous if it's for someone he cares about. He goes to London ffs, what else do you want?! haha.
Bruhh I can't believe anyone would think that way about him?? Sure he isn't perfect but he learnt from his mistake and would literally shower us with love when he could. I thought 'How can anyone be this perfect' during the hospital scene😭 I never thought he was boring AT ALL. In fact, one of my favourite things I love about his route is how we're gradually finding out how passionate his feelings towards MC are underneath that 'rational' layer
@@fruittypun799 Oh good point about the slow reveal of his passion for her - so well written, he was. I also was thinking of that cute embarrassed face when he showed her the cake and was so happy when she was surprised. :D
“I trust you with my life but it is not my life at stake” and “Be careful, kadan” get me, I love Stens friendship and that little confrontation in haven so much
