Is this really focused on destination resort areas? Seems like all we ever hear about is the Wasatch and Colorado. Mt Hood has 22" on your 4/3 to 4/12 accumulation map, tied with Big Sky for the highest accumulation on the map, yet you don't even put it on your spider chart at all? How's does that work? Mt Baker consistently crushes in accumulation yet also rarely gets a mention. Not that I want more crowds, but your forecasts seem pretty focused on other regions.
Thanks for the feedback! Given that we have just a few minutes to cover North America, these videos are meant to give a little preview of the major ski regions, and then our article provides more specific snow totals for destination resorts around North America. You can view that here: www.onthesnow.com/news/snow-before-you-go/.
Great forecasts presented in a clear and concise way. Just some feedback - the white text can be hard to read against that particular background image that you’re using.
Hi, thanks for the comment. We publish twice-weekly forecasts on Sundays and Wednesdays, that look at the snow forecast for the following few days. We don't publish any videos that show what was actualized. For snow totals and ski conditions, you can head to our website to see that for specific ski resorts: www.onthesnow.com/skireport.
Lived in the northeast my whole life everyone who is older than me told me there used to be snow cover from early December until April and it never rained in February
They are in inches, but you can see either inches or centimeters on our website, onthesnow.com. You can go to our website and change the unit of measurement by scrolling to the bottom of the page.
64 yrs in CO and natives alwasnsaid Colo raw do. Itnwas aa little different how much accent on the raw. All farmers ans ranchers had a mild western acccent. Think B&W movies from the 50's. Some business men would say.Colo raah do. So, he's pronounciatiom in lline with Schools and natives. He says it cool though.
Southern Vermont (Mt. Snow and Stratton) got 5" last night on solid bases and it will get cold and dry all over New England so the cannons will be blasting. The one thing New England mountains do really well is make snow. Conditions should be pretty boss all week going into the weekend.
It is important to note that the maximum slope, on which it can ski or snowboard track is as much as 70 degrees. More than that is impossible as the snow cannot hold
You pnw forecast for Baker is inaccurate. Check local forecasts. It's raining. This is mostly taking as rain in the coming days. So far you last forecast you had about 3-5 days ago had the same issue
