If you get divorced after being a stay at home mom, you’ll have few to no employment options. Cover your own financial behind and maintain your employability. Your children will benefit from seeing a mom who isn’t mired in poverty.
I have come to realize that for this time in my life I am called to singleness. Not even dating. To be alone and heal from emotional trauma I experienced when I was much younger! I truly don't want to be in a relationship or even a casual dating time. No, I need solitude and absence from any sexual activity.
John is right on. If christians obeyed God's word, not the world, people would be much better off . Getting married earlier is a blessing. Get married. Singleness is not introduced by our heavenly father as a blessing. Fight it. Singleness will ruin the kingdom of God. Eventually our society. We're not here for our kingdom. But our heavenly father's kingdom. Period. Don't ruin. It or try to ruin other believers life's. Time to obey or hit the road. Our you on the road to life? Or your own little kingdom. Which will be ruined in the end. Don't put words in God's mouth he never said or intended. What is it you want,? A wife or a worlly model? Don't open your life up to sin needlessly. Do you. Do you w⁸ant your children to follow our heavenly father or something else? Singleness was never mentioned as a blessing started by God. It is rare to see a "Believer " living a single life. Unbelievers do it all the time. Horrible. A horrible way to lead life. Try loving each other the way you want to be loved. Lay down your life's for each other.
Christians, by definition, are the ones seeking to obey out of love for the Lord and what He has done for them. What I have found is that most morally descent people who profess Christ are "Lifestyle Christians", which means they will obey what little they know if it does not interfere with their lifestyle. It is how the visible churches tolerate the cultural norms like gay and female preachers as two examples. God bless you!
@@brunodelconte I don't know if we can say for certain that singleness was as big of an issue then as it is now. Regardless, Paul did fight the wrong kinds of singleness in 1 Corinthians 7. He clearly said that don't think being single puts you on a higher spiritual plane. He gave other reasons as well for which singleness should not be pursued. If you are single but don't fall into any of those categories i.e. you have the gift of singleness, then remain single. Rather than fight singleness, Paul exhorted marriage and uplifted it in Ephesians 5.
Keeping the Sabbath? That's another issue that needs to be addressed, as being fruitful is linked to obedience to keeping commands..not doctrines of men
I mostly heard confusion on your part in this message. Which surprised me after reading your scathing review of Beth Allison Barrs book. I was expecting more certainty and less emphasis on 1. The obvious. 2. The exceptions. Which tells me the this is a very deep and complex issue as it is lived out in real life. You seem to be demonstrating that. Here are some fundamental questions. 1. A woman bald from chemo...is she still a woman. 2. When a wife has to take charge because her husband has dementia, at what point is she sinful. 3. Is strength narrowly defined as muscle power the only or most important measure of strength? 4. Is Paul actually demonstrating a confidence in his manhood when he is unafraid to describe himself in female language? On and on...
Was ruth less of a woman working as a field hand? Are hermaphrodite barred from heaven? Is it permissible for a group of women to form a church? Is it still a church? What if a man shows up? Is he in charge now by virtue of his gender? Are 3rd world women who cannot live u p to the American evangelical ideal because of their need to feed their children...Are they still women? Is a man who refuses to rescue his child from a crosive dirty diaper....is he more of a man or less of a man for staying in his role?

I've listened to this and I conclude that my time as a single person is ending...The speaker talked about living a productive life for God's kingdom..a time to serve, and be consumed with The Lord's agenda...I did missions, had careers tht were more of a serving nature; had a ministry feel, no shade but I had no times for video games...I worked a FT gig & a PT gig...I reflected while listening to this & found so many examples in my life of serving the Lord in specific ways BECAUSE I was single...thank you good man... I also realized listening to this I may need to buy a new car😫😭😭😆

As a single man, never married, no kids; this was encouraging. Interesting statistics at the beginning. It would be nice to be married, but if it doesn’t happen so be it. Doesn’t matter a million years from now if we are married or not.

So what are singles to do? Obviously still serve God, however are singles to stay single so that a monument wall will be put up better than son's and daughters?
Pastors like JM are the exact reason why singles (especially men) tend not to go church. This only makes it harder for the singles who do attend church to find partners.
That makes no sense. If you are looking for a Christian man, then at the churches that are faithful to the word of God are the most likely place to find one. Titus 2: 3-5 Eph 6:14

Many so-called professing Christians are on the religious broad road leading to hell as Matthew 7 describes. -- Might try a Christian dating site, then you can screen these things and God will provide. You must make yourself appealing as a Christian woman. For women it is extremely tough because many, perhaps most are stained by feminism and do not realize the extent. see Titus 2v3-5 and 1 Tim 5v14 in the NAS for explanation and context. I teach my sons that the best way to meet a Christian women is to be a Christian man, because it will repel the wrong people and attract the right one. God bless and prayers for your success! I'm glad the speaker was careful about making a lot of cultural stereotypes. I'm still learning about this, but when he said men are strong and women are beautiful, the first verse that came to mind is are "she girders her loins with strength and strengthens her arms." Prov31 Is of possible that men and women both have strength, it's just used differently. Also, and maybe this is just my family, but my teenage boys are very concerned about what they look like. :)
If this man work from a kingjames bible and was a born again Christian he would understand scripture but it's clear he doesn't , God inspired the king James bible for gentiles all these new bible's are Catholic, the fact he miss quotes scripture God has a big problem with that adding or subtracting from the word of God is a ANTI CHRIST spirit end of story
