I love that Breyer seems to be shrinking down a lot of the traditional molds, which is very nice for us stablemates collectors who can’t afford the full size lol ;D
She's definitely up there on my want list. So glad that you managed to score one... I absolutely love Charcoals, and glossy ones even more. My holiest of grails? Probably Frankenstang on the semi-rearing mustang mold, or Happily Ever After on the Justin Morgan mold... But those are "if I won the lotto and by some miracle found them for sale" purchases... Obtainable holy grails: all the Crois I don't have, a couple of Peruvian Pasos that I don't have, Bats in the Belfry, and all the other Halloween and Holiday horses I don't have yet... There is some hope though. I managed to find a Wintersong the other day for under a hundred bucks Canadian, and that felt like a wee miracle for me. lol
Have 2 Shannons. My sister and I stood in line for hours. People were getting heat stroke. It was so hot. They changed how you get special runs after this. The pickup for this horse was where you picked up your celebration horse at the cover arena. Congratulations on getting one!!😊😊
I got a stand for my Verdades model at BreyerFest. The shop is Model Horse Warehouse, the stands are $18 a piece, made with a metal peg and felt on the bottom, and designed to fit Huckleberry Bey, Salinero, and Totilas molds. I def recommend their stands!!!
Awesome news!! I found some tiny bits for a hand drill, I'm going to try that first b/c I'm a bit nervous for power tools on the little hoof. Tho I have been told that if you don't want to go too deep with a bit, you can put it alongside the hoof and mark the depth (on the bit) you don't want to go past. So that's a good tip, perhaps
I didn’t even think of my own Dremel tool 😭 So happy for you though! Also I’m a sucker for custom stands especially Totilas style ones. I feel so much better with a metal peg that I can be reasonably certain won’t pop off in the hoof. Maybe shows don’t allow it to be fair I don’t know
