New subscriber - beautiful paintings! In Oregon we are just starting to get ripe figs, which I love, but most excited about tomatoes and spicy peppers from the garden. Mmmm! 🔥
@@pdxjill yummm! Garden fresh tomatoes are the best! You can always tell a fresh in season tomato apart from a grocery store tomato. ❤️ Thank you for stopping by!
Aww! Thank you for saying that. Those were the two bits I was most unsure of. I thought I had failed. But your comment makes me happy! Glad those were your favorite.
Really enjoyed watching the video. I know it was more stressful to you, but it was relaxing to me. I also loved your comments about traveling and how complicated it has become. I tried to find your web site, but I failed so I hope there is a link from here.
I'm so sorry to hear about the difficulty finding my site. Yes, there is a link in the description below. Thank you so much for your sweet words and watching my video!
It is cool to learn that Italians only eat foods in season. I love figs too, but in northern CA, I've got them almost year round. It is probably more nutritious to follow how the Italians eat seasonal fruit.
@kaylenedawnbuteaufitnessbu2282 I'm sure it is healthier, but it's very frustrating when you need broccoli for a recipe and it's not in season. 🤣 I have a whole new appreciation for American grocery stores.
Gorgeous work! As someone with no artistic talent, I'm in awe of people who can just make beautiful things like this. It's like magic ;). Also, that flower you weren't sure of - it looks like a variety of clematis to me.
Thank you for normalizing taking a step back!! I have the same problem with hyperfixating on things--especially with water color. I have to remind myself to let it dry and see what it does before I try to fix it or make changes. Your spreads turned out beautiful.
@@c_gmoney yes! I could spend hours trying to perfect a piece. It's so hard to say "good enough" sometimes. I'm just programmed to always do my best. Thank you so much for stopping by. ❤️
I used to be angry when something did not came as I had in my mind. But some of my mistakes have helped me so much in my journaling... Your BUJO is beautiful. Hope I could send you some epazote or pingüica from México. Keep on, best wishes 🎉
@mentedecrystal5856 You're so right. Sometimes things come out better and some times they're just learning opportunities. Thank you so much for stopping by. ❤️ Hugs from Italy to you!
😂 I was definitely shouting obscenities at my last page. Thank you so much for your kind words. This setup was trickier for me, and I wasn't sure it would pan out. ❤️
Loved this spreads! I'm so happy I found your channel, it was an immediate subscribe for me 😅 I adore the Art Nouveau vibe on the cover page, my absolute favourite spread on this video 😊
This is gorgeous! I never thought of using watercolor. Basically, im not an artist, but some watercolors, even for a background would be nice! What weight is your paper?
Thank you so much. I'm using a Mellow Days Rêverie Journal that has 160 gsm paper. I'm glad I was able to inspire you to try something different. Hope to see you again soon!
Beautiful work. Just for information, your June pages are not downloadable, there is no link. But love your blog. I just subscribed, but I have already seen interesting things to read. Love Lisa
Thank you so much. I'm still quite new to RU-vid and I haven't quite mastered the 'close enough but not enough that auto-focus blurs things'. LOL. Thank you for your suggestion. I'll try getting closer.
This is some pretty good research, just a couple notes. It’s Deutsche Mythologie… Deutsche meaning German. Adult Holtzmann was a German writing about German mythology. There’s a correlation between Easter and the month Eostre because what is known in English as Easter is specifically linked with Passover (this year being one of the few years they aren’t overlapping) and people tend to syncretize their cultures into the new religion to preserve them.
Yup, slip of the tongue. Even though the Netherlands was part of Germania Inferior until the 15th century, I always confuse the two. And yes, Easter is about the assimilation of older traditions which was my point. Christians believe Easter was completely invented by themselves. It's really funny to read some of their newsletters where they really do some gymnastics to explain it. 😂 Thank you for stopping by and correcting my geography slip
@@TheInternationalWitch I’m so used to correcting it myself 😆 I enjoy your videos, so I hope I didn’t come off too presumptuous. Thanks for taking the time!
I liked both projects the candles are beautiful and your goddess figurine turned out lovley, thanks for sharing your crafts. What a great idea to use the egg carton first I will try that idea as I've saved up some egg cartons I usually make sheets of paper with them.
Thank you so much! I really have no clue right now. The official flower of March is the daffodil but I did those this month...so... Both St. Patrick's day and Ostara are in March, so maybe I'll do clovers and bunnies? What do you think?
