I am a motorcycle enthusiastic and a musician who loves to travel on two wheels.
My aim is to get to know as much places as I can and meet other people who enjoy all aspects of travelling on a motorcycle.
The aim of this channel is to open a small window of these places and to show everyone out there what beautiful world we have and to encourage anyone to start discovering it on two wheels which i think is the best way to travel. And also to share my experiences by giving tips and advice which i think worked so far for me.
There are so many magnificent places, people and cultures out there, so get on your bike and start the adventure!

Kudos for pulling this off! I've been trying to remove the rear tyre since Sunday with no luck. Used hardware are 2 spoons from Eastbound, and for 'software' a lot of lube and soap as suggested, and no, I don't have a heated gun (but it is 34C/93F out here for compensation). With the 2 spoons I managed to break the bead and get just a few centimeters of the tyre over the rim, but as a result the tension in other parts of the tyre is now so tight I'm not even able to get the spoon underneath the edge of the tyre. I have a feeling the edge of the tyre moved to the center of the rim, also making it hard to get too. All of the soap and lube making everything slippery isn't helpful. I'm out of options......other than finding someone with the right tools :)
@44degreesmotorcycleadventures
@44degreesmotorcycleadventures 15 дней назад
@@SKLSNAPS hey sorry to hear you having issues getting the tyre off the rim. It can be a really pain if the tyre is too old as the flexibility of the rubber is pretty much gone. Also it depends on the type tyre as well. Mitas E07+ enduro for example has a really tick side wall making it a really pain to remove or put it one. My suggestion is put the wheel on a piece of wood so the rotor does not touch the ground and kneel on the tyre and using your knee to put pressure on the tyre as you work your way with the levers. Don’t try to put the lever too far apart from the one that is already inside of the tyre because you won’t have much leverage to insert it. When you have the second lever in, use your knee to hold the tyre down as you remove it from the tyre. Then again insert the lever close to be next one and slide it a bit. Hope this makes sense. The main thing here is to move the lever in small amounts while holding the tyre down with your knees. Hope this can help All the best
@44degreesmotorcycleadventures
@44degreesmotorcycleadventures 15 дней назад
@@SKLSNAPS just another point, star from the brake disk side. This will allow you to use the disk to put the lever under it to hold in place. 👍
@SKLSNAPS
@SKLSNAPS 14 дней назад
@@44degreesmotorcycleadventures Thnx for the encouragement and suggestions, much appreciated! I think you're right, and I'm stupid not to think of the option the tyre (indeed a Trail Enduro +) is just worn out and has no flexibility left. I don't work with wood but use a stiff road tyre underneath so I can work my way around it. Usually when a tyre is off the bead and you put pressure on one side of the tyre, the other side lifts up to the edge of the rim. As soon as you stop the pressure the other side comes down again leaving the gap it creates between the tyre and the rim when its of the bead. To emphasise your point the tyre reached its end of life; it didn't come down and leave a gap which made me think it connected to the bead again, and I actually took the spoons and bead breaker to check, but it was still off the bead. I always take small amounts and even stood with two feet on the tyre to create extra room for the spoon to get behind the edge of the tyre, but the tyre wouldn't have it due to the lack of flexibility. As soon as I have it off the rim this whole process will repeat itself, because the new tyre is the same :).....lucky me......

@44degreesmotorcycleadventures
@44degreesmotorcycleadventures 20 дней назад
Hi there the best way to find out is to try it ou if you can. I don’t think it should be an issue for you if your inseam is 31. I am 5.11”/ 180cm and my inseam is 32 I can almost flat foot. Again I have set the preload of the rear shock to be a be stiffer so in your case to can always soft it a bit to get a little bit more saggy on the rear shock. The seat of the xrv is a bit wide so that would spread your leg a bit more apart so it will make if feel a bit taller. So my advise is to try it out and ask the person that you buying from if any mod has been done on the rear shock like adding preload or stiffer springs because that will make the bike taller. Good luck and hope you get one they are great bikes 👍

Next time put the tube in the new tyre and inflate a bit the push the vavle through the rim ,and push the first bead in place may need a rubber hammer . Deflate the tube and lever on the tyre . You need to raise the rim not the tyre off the ground . It needs to fallover the rim instead of being level

@44degreesmotorcycleadventures 4 месяца назад
Hey there. Glad to hear that you’re getting an AT! I got the bars from heavyduties which is a company in Romania. They were very helpful on my purchase but I am not happy with the finish quality of bars. I always keep my bike in the garage dried all the time and they already have rust spots on their weld joins. I have a GIvi crash bar on my Transalp for about 7 years now and they have had not a spot of rust on them. So I am not sure how long this one will last. Regarding the protection they are really good as I dropped my bike one day and the bar took all the blunt without any damage other than a few scratches on the bar. Plus the design is good to protect the upper fairing. At the moment I have coated the bar with ACF50 rust spray which might help. Another option would be to respray it with a better protection paint. Good luck with your AT and let me know what solution you decided to go with.

But they're too far from the middle and I find it irritating to look to the side that much. Also, of course they move with the handle bar, which is annoying as well. I like your construction. Cheap, easy to make and therefore easy to try out. And since you've used it for a couple of years with a large phone, it should hold up well.

Your rubber cushions were positioned wrong. They should be like a saddle over the metal ridges, the small section on one side and the large section on the other side. It is very common for the thin elastic band that connects the two sections to be cut but you can still fit them and stay in place. Smart move freezing the bearings to go in easier! Nice video.

Both are held in place using the existing screws on the dashboard near the windshield. then I used a bolt to attached them both together and a RAM ball to attached the phone holder. For a phone holder I am using the Ultimateaddons phone holder. I am away at the moment but as soon as I am back I will take some pictures to show you the whole setup. Thanks

The thing is that this part should not wear under normal conditions. There could be two resons why the retainer woreout this fast. This can be either your rear wheel is missaligned to left so the chain tries to pull sprocket out of the engine. Second and much worse thing is the wear of the output shaft teeths. They tend to wear unevenly, more on the outside then the engine side. The teeths are thinner on the outside. This creates a slope, which pushes the sprocket out of the engine while transfering torque and creates a load on the retainer. Unfortunatellt outputshaft replecment requires complete engine dissassembly and is quite costly (at least 500 eur in parts if you use Honda oem). Im doing mine in next month unforunatelly...

Hi there. Sorry to hear that. Maybe try to put back the plugs that you replaced and see if starts again. If it does then you might have the wrong set of plugs. If not, try to see if you have a spark on the plugs. Its easy to do. Put the plug into the cable and attach it to a metal place into the bike. Starting the bike will give a spark. If does, then that is not your issue, if does not then it is. Hope you get sorted. All the best!
