I've just listened to all eight short videos. I grew up in the Catholic tradition. Today, I consider myself an agnostic atheist. I might go back to the Church if I had someone like you saying Mass.
Kind of sad that he lost his belief in God. There's no sense in a Christian who doesn't believe in God. He has complicated his beliefs that much. They have started to overlap. Should have compartmentalised them. And kept them in separate sections.
It's striking learning how the show's writer and the lead actress addressed the text differently. The script writer altered Sugar's encounter with Cheeseman because she felt like "we're past all that". In contrast, Romola explained how she's familiar with surrendering to a script's text. As an actress, her craft hinges on this approach. I'd have preferred if Sugar had utilized the skills of her former profession (as in the book) to deal with Cheeseman. Surrendering to violence betrays a greater loss of composure for Sugar than a brief, impersonal exchange of bodily fluids would have. Just my thoughts.
I love Tilda's voice, I saw recently she was on an auction offering, to read a bed time story, if I had it, she could read me to 😴 ❤ sleep, she should do meditation on audio
BC - Before the west abandoned free speech during the great Covid panic. History will not look kindly on the tech/pop culture strangulation of free speech in the “20’s.”
Imagine finding a goose featha in your breeches. Ah, a tenda tickle. You feel strange and peculiarly excited. Try to visualize this magnificent feat of pleasure.
Thank You, Margareta for your insights and thoughts on the inevitable - We All Die! It's transformed my elderly body into action to enjoy going through boxes, piles and bags of that only appeal to me, but saved the really important stuff that our heirs will cherish in decades to come. The mountains of old photos were the worst.
Really a great book, my friend the mercenary, Really a great Man, James, and despite my spaniard lenguaje, the book becone very easy to read. James poored not only his great history into his book, but also a great human level. Many thanks James
Way ahead of its time! This book helped me make connections I didn’t know existed and reaffirmed others. Above all it showed me I do enjoy reading and can feel intense emotions from it
Okay, I legit thought this was a movie trailer… I mean, there’s no way a mainstream movie would have a three minute clip of Tilda’s eyes as she reads a passage from the Raw Shark Text…but wow…it would have been awesome if they did…
When I was a kid Monty Python's two films were among my favourites, when I was teenager An Idiot Abroad came out, which is still one of my favourite things I've ever seen. Yet, I did not know that Michael Palin and Karl Pilkington had done these videos!?
So moving. My heart aches for that poor, misunderstood soul. I’ve read the letter, but hearing it read aloud and by such a talented actor is extra inspiring.
