wow, this is pretty cool. my aunt and uncle on my moms side actually did this once! i dont think its the same location but my aunt actually took some old props and has them in her house in texas. itd be cool if someone could collect all the props from these buildings ppl took from and made just one big restaraunt thats as close as could be for what it was when it was around. id love to explore an old CEC/Showbiz building one day.
he was taken out in 2014, not 2023! I'm not sure exactly of his whereabouts though as I haven't seen him since the 2014 post, there's a chance he may be with a new owner but I just don't know It's very likely he's safe somewhere though!
@@DavisHuckabee the entire bot was taken by a user named Clockwork on retro pizza zone as i explain at 0:31 i did actually find posts from 2017 of them talking about the restoral of looney bird and they show a picture of him in the same condition so it's likely that they still have the bot, but there hasn't been any posts since.
It’s really cool that the place was kept like this for at least 20 years, most Chuck E. Cheese’s that closed in the 2010’s or even the 2020’s usually get taken over in a year
A few pieces of constructive criticism: - Typically, you want to wrap Teflon tape in the opposite direction of the threads, so when you screw down the fitting, it "tightens" onto itself, instead of unwinding. - Really, it's overkill to use thread tape and a gasket, and in some instances, it can lead to an overall worse seal. You want to use one or the other. - The O-ring you chose was probably for a newer style of fitting, which has a small cup for the O-ring to slip into. The RAE fittings have a flat surface, so you are going to want to use a flat gasket type seal. Using an O-ring can cause issues. You can order replacement gaskets from Clippard for very cheap. Hopefully this doesn't come off as rude, I just want to see you succeed.
thank you for the advice!! the reason i use both tape and a seal is that it's usually how it's originally done when i take the barb off on both cylinder barbs and flows (the ones in the video aren't great examples... i think those are the first flows i did without any teflon tape remnants) and i try my best to stick to the original set up where i can, i've never personally had any issues and i've redone all of the flows on one of our bots. but i'm definitely keeping this all in mind in case i encounter any issues as this stuff can be finicky and i may just be getting lucky! i'll definitely be looking at replacement gaskets as it does tend to be difficult finding the correct seal size with o-rings anyways, thank you again!
@@coastline_craze The part number from Clippard is 11761-2-PKG. Interesting that you have found some with both teflon and a gasket. In all of my circles, I don't think anyone has encountered that on CEI bots. The teflon tape may have been added by a tech.
@windowsdylan8807 all of the barbs I've ever resealed (excluding the ones from the video ofc) from multiple bots have had both so that is very odd! I did just check and our crated dook has teflon tape and a seal on one of his cylinder barbs but not the flows, so I am wrong about it being original on flows. I suppose you learn something new everyday! it hasn't ever caused me problems though thankfully, and maybe it is a good thing in the case of not using the intended gaskets
@windowsdylan8807 are those gaskets supposed to be a really snug fit? it's super difficult for me to get on around the threads and i thought they wouldnt go on at all at first, but it does look like it fits the actual lip pretty well if it would go down all the way
@@coastline_craze Yep, that's been my experience, especially with the RAE fittings. I have some Cyberamic fittings that have a small groove at the end of the threads, and the gasket kinda snaps into it. Unfortunately, the RAE fittings do not have this groove, but I conversed with someone at clippard, and they said it's still perfectly fine to use those. They make the inner diameter small on purpose. I would just push them on the threads as far as possible, and then tighten the fitting down.

at the end of the video i dont see the 2 media racks wich the one with the original reels was probably the rarest item there, was it too heavy/big for you to take ? or did you took it of video bc this was prob one of the most worth it stuff with the valves bank
we did get the two reel to reel tape decks that were in the backstage room if that's what you're talking about, on the second picture of the icecream and buffet signs at 31:43 they're underneath them!

I drive past here all the time and had no clue all of this was still here… I remember going there as a kid and LOVING it. I remember thinking it was my favorite place in the world. I was so young then that my brain had kinda forgotten about it until after the blow up of five nights at Freddy’s and after watching videos of the games it all came rushing back! I look it up now and again to see if there is new information or videos and I’m so glad I found this one. It is just a DREAM to imagine all this was still there just waiting for all these years….

I'm so glad I was able to bring this all to you, even if some of it is a little bittersweet. this place looked beyond fun in it's prime and I'm happy you were able to reconnect with your childhood even for just a moment! this location has a special place in my heart even though I never had the chance to experience it when it was open, so I wanted to give it the honor it deserves
I’ve heard some great stories from this place, it was a genuinely happy place with tons of great memories for many people. Seeing all the love that went into the wall murals, and seeing how the place looked in its prime, made me genuinely wanna tear up. Even as I type this, I’m holding back the tears, I never grew up at this place, but somehow I could feel the memories through the cold, empty walls that were once warm with laughter, singing, the sounds of the arcade, sounds of laser tag guns, the ruckus of bumper cars, and the smell of fresh pizza in the kitchen. All that is gone now, leaving behind only the memories, which is something that can’t be taken away from us, and something that we can always cherish. EDIT: I realize I accidentally said everything that you said in the video, just with a different words, but trust me when I say I was speaking honestly and from the heart.
@@BradyT-gg5 you said it perfectly! there's something so deeply upsetting about seeing a place like this that was once so happy and full of life now sitting empty and boarded up waiting to be demolished, it's such a bitter feeling but I am beyond happy that we got the chance to appreciate and document it one last time and save what we could
our bots are from all over but unfortunately the band from this looney bird's had been removed long ago, from my knowledge nobody knows where they went other than looney bird himself and I don't even know his current status we have bots from aaron fechter himself, bots from jack turner, bots from private collectors, and dave harbour's 3 bots, so we have a large variety in our band! we know most of the original locations they came from but not all

Originally the hose for the rockafire was translucent yellow, over time the oil from the oiler will get all nasty and darken them. The hose wasn’t ever clear.
Awesome. On an unrelated note, what did it smell like in there? Was it musty at all? I mean i wasn’t there in person so of course I wouldn’t be able to determine whether or not the place is in good condition but from what I see in the video it looks like it could be repurposed. It just hurts knowing that the wall art and architecture is all going to be demolished
surprisingly there wasn't really a smell from what i can remember, I was looking and there didn't seem to be any kind of water damage or mold which surprised me. the major damage just seemed to be the exterior of the ceiling falling in at some places or damage from people breaking in and living there, I believe the building totally could've been repurposed

First thing I would do is start clipping off the wire ties that hold those cables together. It's easier to untangle. I'll bet you did that. Also, I would take a saws all to that stage to pull stuff out of there more easily. No crawling under. I am surprised they left the Beach Bear stand. That was dumb of them. That's like taking the Rolfe off his stand (legs) and leaving the legs behind. The world is a better place because of you.
