Sorry if you've already mentioned it but what do you and hubby do for work? Your salaries and bonuses seem awesome. Def know you have to work hard for it though but pretty good
No that’s okay. I won’t go into it too much, but we both have worked many years in sales and consulting, husband in medical and myself in education. In the best position financially now with income etc but took a long time and ups and downs to get here as done sales for 20 years.
@@victoriafenton-hoolahan795 they are quite interesting but tough work and so hard both full time with the kids and their needs. A lot of moving parts to life and it gets really overwhelming most of the time, I have learnt money isn’t everything but just happy to not have to worry about the necessities. Just have to work on other parts of life now the job part is okay :)
@Sianbudgets story of my life too hahaha. Full time 3 kids living in Melb. Just happy we cash stuff, debt free and on the path to early retirement. We're all doing a great job I think. 50 yr old us will appreciate the hard work we're putting in now
@@victoriafenton-hoolahan795 I hope so, I want to do so much in this life and travel which all needs money but I am not working past 60 with having diabetes. Ideally 55 would be nice ;)
@@Sianbudgets a mix is good i would allocate for your priorites where best suits your family goals, then if u have a completed savings challenge or unexpected money have fun with random allocation with the dice or something similiar, great video ❤️
You can actually buy the labels from “cash queens Australia” and just let her know what you want it to say. :) stick them to your exisiting binders then.
That means a lot, probably boring for some but important for me lol. Thanks for watching and supporting me Elma, It would be a dream to get to 2000 subs by my 1 year anniversary. 5 weeks to go!! Countdown lol
Oh my goodness i would be so confused i would have to keep counting the envelopes and double checking which ones are which, good job doing it without labels! Its always fun to change it up! 💚💚💚
It was something different and all going to important places, all goals for our family. X I might add little numbers to the top corner just for reference? Or have written on a paper. I’ll change it up and see what works best
Thank you for this video I’ve been looking for someone to do this because I’m fairly new to this and you answered all my questions without me asking 😂😂 I’ve took a ton of notes and will be doing adding and taking some things out but my question is how do you know how much money to put in each binder how often because with so much binders you wouldn’t be able to get to them all right? Well for me because I’m in a low budget or with your 4 binder challenges do you do spilt it I’m not sure if I just made sense I hope you get what I’m trying to ask
That’s awesome that I answered all the questions before asking lol, that was the goal and how my brain works haha. We done starting your journey and I hope you are enjoying it. It does sometime feel ahh I’m broke as you few like that sometimes, but it passes as giving every dollar a purpose stops the spending and you are allocating and being intentional about where it is going. Well I actually started and could actually Add to every envelope every pay nearly so I only had envelopes for the necessities. Once the necessities are covered use your remaining money to put something in any other category you have and intentionally Save a percent into challenges. Worst case if you need the challenge money for other categories you can still use it for that but at least it gets you in the habit of saving etc. Don’t add to many if you think you can never add to them as it can be disheartening , however on the flip side I also like to see the categories just as a reminders of the things that come up and my goals :)
Great life update, with your cruise and the drink package! I'm type 2 diabetic and have done several cruises, I have never bought the drinks package as it's so expensive and I still had at least 3 or 4 cocktails each day, we always take the 12 can softdrink allocation per person and that's even on 3 night cruises. But for us and my hubby drinks beer every day, it still wasn't worth us getting the drinks package. I hope that helps a little bit.... ❤😊
I think you’re right. I wouldn’t buy enough to justify it, however I do like the idea of just not having to think about the cost and just to go for it kinda thing. But I worry about drinking with the diabetes as the food stuff will be bad enough. How do you find your diabetes with cruising. So you monitor your levels etc?
Oh my gosh Sian! I'm so excited for everything to come, the tax stuffing, the minis!!!! Girl I love your channel so much, it's been so exciting to watch and seeing how you've evolved over time ❤
You are the best, I hadn’t written back yet as this comment made my day and wanted to take my time responding, so glad you are excited to see the up and coming videos. I can’t wait to buff up most of the categories with cash and get rid of those larger figures in savings challenges, Also using some to get ahead so I can’t wait! Also excited about minis trying to put my spin on it just waiting to order and her set up for it ;)
Ohh I can’t wait to see your tax stuffing, marking off all those annoying big numbers. After a while I can’t help myself and consolidate all my smaller numbers I’ve marked off and add them together so I can mark off the big ones and reopen the smaller ones. Takes a bit longer but feels better seeing them gone and smaller ones left 😂
I def would have consolidated smaller numbers and I have before but I knew we might get a bit back and wanted to wait to see if I may not have to do that and can get rid of some pesky larger numbers. Smaller numbers def don’t look so daunting. See how many we can get rid of soon!!
Great Video 🎉🎉 also, I totally feel you on the needing to be doing things or moving around (I have adhd as well) - as for the cinema trips, our local cinema does “accessibility screenings” which makes it not as loud, not as dark, subtitles and you’re allowed to get up or stim if you need to. The tickets are at a reduced price as well, and we’ve been lucky that they don’t just do it with kids movies either but grown up ones too which has been great for date night for me and my partner as we both struggle with sitting still for prolonged periods or needing to stim etc - I do know some places do have these but don’t advertise them much etc ❤ but either way, I’m glad yall got to enjoy a trip to the movies together, some of my fave childhood memories (and adult ones too) are of going to the cinema ❤
It is like my very favourite thing to do. Luckily I am actually okay at the movies, daughter finds it hard but I do like the dark especially. Only place I don’t feel overwhelmed. I tend to fidget or start writing or budgeting when a movie on at home I get a lot done though I guess lol so great the cinema offers these things though, my son has to take headphones for the noise but doesn’t always need them
@@Sianbudgets it is so great, we’ve just saved up so we can go see beetlejuice 2 when it comes out so I’m so excited for that tbh! And yes my youngest takes headphones too but sometimes is okay with it, but other times not. It can be so difficult trying to balance it all but the experiences and memories are so worth it! 💜 I love going to the cinema, but I also love watching movies at home whilst I do a bunch of other stuff. As a kid/teen I’d put a movie on and do the ironing etc. now I like to colour or do jigsaws whilst watching movies at home. If it’s something iv seen before though sometimes I’ll put it on whilst cleaning etc. funny how brains work xD hope you have a wonderful week ahead 💜
I can’t wait to see that also. Being back down great childhood memories. I also have movies in the background I kind of feel like I need it on and used to fall Asked to it when a teenager. Now I’m so tired whether it’s on or off I just go straight to sleep. I hate exhaustion! It’s like I can’t be the person I know I am because of it! It’s frustrating. Love the movies! Might go see quiet place, haven’t seen that yet
@@Sianbudgets yeah I’m the same I used to not be able to sleep without tv on, and whilst I try not to fall asleep with it on, if I’m taking medication breaks I need it to distract my brain so I can sleep. 🤣 iv seen the first quiet place but do need to catch up. I understand you on the exhaustion though, but it’s like I can sleep 12 hours and still be just too tired to do anything. Chronic exhaustion isn’t fun at all. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone. 💜
Thanks for that, yes k can’t wait to get as well, will be fun getting it out of bank haha and in the denominations I want. See how I go; I just hate the old notes so I’ll have to exchange somehow lol
