Oh, F-off!! Health insurance exists to make money for insurers. Also, they DICTATE what a doctor can prescribe to you you. If my son needs Otezla for psoriasis, that's what the DOCTOR thinks he needs. Medicaid decided they will only pay for Humira. My son, already mental fragile, is even more suicidal than normal.
These dogs are the absolute best! I've got to meet them when working at various summer teaching programs that Drexel hosts. The kids sit and listen to a story and pet the pup, it's precious! I love that they have their own Drexel id's <3
During the pandemic, I had respiratory illness at least six or seven times. Many of which were around the time that people around me were diagnosed with coronavirus. Unfortunately, due to an ongoing legal dispute with Independence Blue Cross, I have never been tested, treated, or vaccinated for the coronavirus. As a public facing, essential worker, who actively worked entirely throughout the height of the coronavirus pandemic, this is unacceptable. I can be seen pleading with Dr. Richard Snyder for access to care, and then denied. My greatest goal at this time is to testify against independence Blue Cross before a congressional committee on health care to demonstrate the dire need for more advanced regulation.
You forgot item number 6 - get a new insurance company. I took insulin for 14 years with Aetna, then was denied insulin with independence Blue Cross for the next six years. Fortunately, I have learned that I can buy insulin at Walmart, which has been a lifesaver and game changer.

I use urgent care for everything. I tell them I have no medical issues, despite the fact I have severe diabettes and heart disease. I also tell them I have no insurance, despite the fact the I have Independence Blue Cross "Preferred Gold" premiums taken directly from my paycheck. I live in fear of Independence Blue Cross because I believe they launched a legal attach on me in 2017, and I have not been able to get a resolution ever since.

Independence Blue Cross should create a safe space for patients by honoring their contractual obligations and paying for medical services instead of denying claims and lying to the insured- their practices create real mental problems for parents and then their children

I have a question. I have health insurance through pennie Marketplace, and I know there is a 90-day Grace period. If I'm late paying a premium but I'm wondering is it okay to be late a couple months in a row? When I say late, I mean paying the premium 2 or 3 days after it's due. And I'm talking about a couple of consecutive months. In other words, I'm paying it each month, but it's a couple days past the due date when I finally send my payment in. So if it's due the 1st of each month, is it okay to pay it by the second or the third day of the month without facing any penalties? I'm talking about doing this for maybe 2 or 3 months in a row. Understand, I am paying the full premium each month, it's just going to be a couple of days late for 2 or 3 months.

@@ibxphillythanks, Gabby I’ve reached out to your reps four times already and have been lied to four times. My info is in the Member Appeals unit. From there, depending on the outcome, it will go to Insurance Commissioner’s Complain department , and then to court. Just want to make sure that everyone understands how claims are processed these days. So much for supporting breast cancer awareness. I honestly don’t know what’s worse: dealing with cancer or dealing with health insurance. I guess that’s the whole point, isn’t it?
