Add aftermarket stereo in my e60 for 10 years with bmw original radio still in work and aftermarket, stereo got its own Earth power speaker wires with 2 14” subwoofers in box in boot/trunk, and under seat woofers working with their own amp, component door speakers and rear component shelf speakers
Hello, thank you for making this video! I know this is 2yrs old, but how were you able to get the I drive screen to work with install of after market radio? Also we did you find the wiring diagram?
I know this video is 2 years old but I just seen it. I recently purchased a 2006 bmw 550i and was told by a small stereo shop that it would be very expensive to install if at all. If u could give me anyway to install it I would appreciate it a lot
Very helpful. But can someone please tell me , why my e60 doesn't have an amplifier in the boot ? I just bought a logi7 set of speakers and amplifier, but unfortunately I am unable to plug the amplifier as there isn't one on the car from manufacturer, its an e60, 2007 LCI 525d
@@tk2685 yeah I was gonna do this till I realized theres no room for my aftermarket radio since my cd player and dvd player are connected... idk what to do from here
Did the din increase volume for inner speakers ? I have hifi radio (not logic 7) looking to do this if it increases power to speakers vs factory head unit . Thanks
I have a 05 545i im gonna be installing a 7in flip up radio i would like to know which wires you taped to get power mem illumination ect im ok with everything just unsure on this thnx for any help you can provide
@@tk2685 hey sorry to bother you but did you use a fiber optic loop when u disconnected the factory amp and when you installed the radio did u simple splice into the wires you needed or cut them
well done man, BMW doesn t help their customers just to install a simple aftermarket stereo, that s a shame, but you made it right, I'l do the same in my E60
Joseph Cogdell just speakers wire not a harness I bought just speakers wires , I run the wire directly from the stereo system to the speakers wire located in the back .
How did you get the nav screen to work with the after market cd player... Special harness or just splice the aftermarket wire into the factory harness..?
STANLY IPkiss yes just I run the speakers wires from the aftermarket radio to the factory speakers wires , screen works with no problem, just the factory CD not working any more du to the disconnect the speakers wires from the trunk .
You saved the day for me too my friend. Thanks very much. I drive a right hand drive F11. The front fuse box in my car was turned 90 degrees antilock wise from yours. The 12V socket 20 fuse was right at the top and impossible to reach through the little door. In the end I had to remove the bottom footwell panel underneath the glovebox to gain access to it. You helped me locate the faulty fuse so really appreciate that!
I guess your in US in uk fuse box us upside down so anyone in uk try to check drawing in gloves compartment remember thats check it other way around, anyway i had same fuse problem , like BMW make things to break and make it complicated so only they can fix it shame!
