Federer, I follow your career from the beginning. I was a Bjorn Borg fan, then an Edberg Fan, then an Agassi fan, and after that, it was you till you finished. I enjoyed every minute. You are a gentleman on and of court. You have a wonderful family, and if course your mom a South African like me. I will surely miss you!
I don't know what's more crazy, Rog making Rafa falling on clay , or the fact that Rafa was getting the ball after he fell if he had been given one more second💀💀💀💀
In many ways, there are really only 2 kinds of people. The kind of person who recognizes and is aware of the people around them and makes efforts to be considerate of them, whether they know them personally or not. And those who are oblivious. This man is obviously in the first group and is a most worthy role model for young people all over the world.
Did Stich forget about the time he beat Sampras? I mean Sampras did beat the guys that, uh, Sampras beat… Therefore, when Federer beat Sampras, it might indicate Federer (in his rookie years, by the way), would be able to beat the guys that Sampras played against.
That's disgusting how good he was. Just knows it's a fault before really anyone does and so casually redirects it to the ball boy... seriously some people are just outlandish in their abilities.
So fantastic when celebrities in any genre take the time for children. Not all of them do. Some are quite rude and couldn’t be bothered. All celebrities from sports to Hollywood to broadway must realize they only have a job because there are fans. Without fans there would be no job.
The incidents at 1:09 and 1:53 are not dissimilar to one that resulted in the disqualification of a player at the 2023 French Open. How ridiculous! The ballkids should have been paying attention. Roger really is a class act.
Have you ever noticed how charming he is ONLY when he's in control of the match when he's under pressure he cheats "it only bounced once" and acts like a 5 year old and cries like one too.
Ballkids are the real stars as without them play would not be possible, I hope another piece of tech wont replace them like has happened to line judges & the court looks less human now sadly. People make sport happen.
I remember bumping into Roger at a hotel in London. Had a conversation with him. You won’t meet a more beautiful person inside and out. Made time for me and got a great picture with him. ❤
Sad to see Fed retire and I'm sure Rafa may nit be far behind, but I gotta tell ya, there's some massively awesome talent playing these days There's Alcarez and many Italians, a pleasure to watch
Is that the rehiring process for ball kids? If you catch Federer's redirections after a point, you're in for next year. If you get hit in the head you're out?..... Seems reasonable.
We have totally lost our minds with hero worship of celebrities when we are so self-absorbed about a stupid autograph to almost crush a young boy to death when the only person seeking autographs should be that boy. Once you get past age 12 or so you really need to give up chasing celebrities for autographs. Leave this for the young kids.
it's pleasure to watch him doing this, it is itself a world record that he made his opponents fall so frequently, it's simply genius. Though he lost too many matches to Djo and Rafa but one thing both of them can't compete with the champ is beauty, style, elegance, grace, wow what a class he was.
Part of his greatness is his kindness .Not mentioned till his retirement has been he brought gifts to all the referees and ball boys at the tournament’s end.
