Beautiful cards! I too often will ink or hand trim the edge off of stickers to make them match. Love how your tree looks with the inking. Great masking of the deer on the circle. A perfect touch.
I have set a goal to use up 100 sheets of leftover paper this year. You are giving me ideas. Thank you. Maybe Christmas cards will be next. I have a few sheets left of the pack with those houses left.
I used Harvey this year but only one per card since I sent out 42 cards. I used double sided adhesive on cardstock before cutting so each were stickers. Cut all pieces except eyes n mouth since they tend to stick in the die. I chose to use adhesive backed felt for hat so had to cut black chin pieces separately. For many of the eyes I decided to use black Nuvo drops (took less time) so they had a sparkle. I also use Nuvo drops for animal eyes (learned from Jennifer McQuire years ago. Like your colors you chose. I did blue this yr. Will do greens next and red the last yr.
Darling cards! I have that die and I haven’t used it yet because it seems like it will take a long time. Thanks for sharing how cute they are in non traditional Christmas colors.
Thank you so much for doing this demonstration. I don’t know if I could’ve ever figured this out without your help. Having said that this is the second set of Tim Holtz colorize Christmas dies that I have purchased and they are very difficult to assemble. I will never ever buy another set of these dies with all these pieces. It totally takes the joy out of crafting. thank you again for taking the time to make this video.
I am using my die set for the first time today. I had no idea when I purchased this that it would have so many pieces. Seems pretty unnecessary in my opinion. Could have gotten a nice wreath without so much detail. Your video is fabulous, however, and it will be a great help to me as I cut things out and begin to assemble. I would be lost without your tutorial. And to the woman who made 20 of these, all I can say is good for you. I'll be happy to complete a couple. LOL. After watching this video completely through, I'm not sure I even want to make these. I have lots more wreath stamps and dies that are a LOT easier to assemble.
Wow. So happy I could help. :) I truly appreciate that I could be of assistance and you took the time to let me know. May all who receive your goodies enjoy them throughout the holiday season
Thank you so much. I bought this last year (too late for Christmas) but I am enjoying it so much, thanks to your detailed instructions. I don't think I would have figured it out without your video. You have made this so easy. Once you explained it, it made so much sense.
Hi I have tried and tried and am in UK, but cannot find this or any other Hourglass Die. I am desperately trying to find one to make a card for First year of her hubby passing away and only young. It was always a thing with them about Hourglasses, so I really would somehow like to make this card for her. Is there any other way that I could cut this shape out please??
Hmm....the Greetery doesn't ship internationally? Wondering if you could use an oval die to cut, then a circle punch on each side..with a little snipping of the scissors to straighten it out?
