You have to understand that ZZ Top were popular in the early 70s, and by about 1980, while their names meant something still, they weren't on people's minds as much. They had hits, but they weren't the hottest thing in music anymore. With this, they completely reinvented themselves as a band for the 80s, and the MTV era. This album by far is their biggest, and their most ambitious. It's my favorite, even though I like their albums from the 70s as a whole a lot more than I like their albums from the 80s. Eliminator is just awesome though.
