Hi Chris. What wonderful videos of your travels. A lifetime of memories I'm sure. I never made it to Amsterdam, but was a mere 45km away in Amersfoorte, where our U.S. A.F. Soesterberg base is located so was close. Beautiful Country and People. I see Gordon and his wife occasionally. They are well. Safe travels and enjoyment of your touring of so much. I sure miss you on this end. Barry
I wonder where the people are. I never see people sitting in the cafes when I watch videos from Vlore. Is it only tourists that go to them? Huge contrast to Tirana or even Sarande.
That depends on the time when they film because in Vlora it's something like a tradition to go for a walk in the afternoon and also the population is smaller compared to our other cities. This city is mostly seasonal. Going there during the summer is a challenge because it is crowded as Tirana looks all the year. And you are right but yeah it has a reason why it happens. Thanks..
When I was there earlier in the month it was at the end of Ramadan-so I believe that limited the crowds at the restaurants and cafes some-thanks for the comment and subscribing!
Great comment! Yes, the one restaurant I visited said it was much more seasonable compared to other cities. I was there at the end of Ramadan so that may explain the few patrons in the cafes and restaurants. Thanks for watching!

I come from Rybnik, but I moved to Kraków a decade ago. Today I felt really homesick and out of nowhere I see your video on my YT home page. Dziękuję ❤
That's why the Americans, I got it from American Evangelical tourists in Greece, wanted to tip over communism in the Balkans - at any cost - to exploit the coastline. Even in the 70s they could see the potential for intensive commercial development. And it all happened with British and European help.
