Enescu is the best 😍 I love his rhapsodies, of course, but also his concert piece (as I am a violist). He's a genius- the youngest person to go to the Vienna Conservatory. :)
Having watched the clip with Celibidache in Bucharesti several times, I thought a French orchestra might sound too perfunctory. Enescu really got them to hurl themselves into the music. It would be interesting to learn more about the photo of Enescu at Sinaia. I'm tempted to imagine him being somewhere in Pelișor Castle.

Let's see... Worth hearing are Conta, Celibidache and Enescu. IMHO. Celibidache is the most dance and fire, Enescu is the most classical, elegant and concert, Conta is the most in between very musical. The rest... however good, beautiful, masterful, all lack some special insight to light the fire...
Nice roll, I hope to find it on Duo-Art sometime as it's one of my favorite pieces of music, though it does not beat the Welte Mignon recording by Berthe Marx-Goldschmidt, by far
Cine a fost Aurora Ienei? Am ascultat si interpretarea dansei a Suitei pentru Pian no. 1, Op. 3 (in stil antic: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nNBKzuLP1b8.html) de Enescu si am comparat-o cu interpretarea lui Enescu insusi (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zV_HOmYHgrk.html) si mi-a placut mult mai mult decat cea a lui Enescu (dar mi-a placut ca Enescu a cantat cu mai mult suflet, ceea ce aproba toate cartile care le-am citit despre el si restul interpretarilor la vioara de pe RU-vid). Unde pot gasi mai multe informatii despre Aurora Ienei? Este o patura de ceata misterioasa acum in impresia mea (tot ce am gasit au fost doua poze din 1981? aici: www.discogs.com/artist/1157010-Aurora-Ienei/images)
