They appeared to be nice, decent people. Well before my time. Just came across the "What's my line Show" a few months ago. Most of the .mistery challangers were total unkown to me. The show featuring Salvador Dali (watched it yoday) was highly interesting. He was quite a character -- even had a book published by Bennett Ceft. In sum, I became a adicted to the show.
@@albertseabra9226 up until a few years ago, I had never watched an episode of What's My Line. I was watching a compilation of funny game show answers, and there were a few clips from WML. So then I watched some full WML episodes. That's all it took for me to get hooked on the show and the people.
Love watching the classic episodes, especially the ones where they bring in family members of the panel as mystery guests (columnist Suzy Knickerbocker's reaction when she found out it was her son, who was serving in the Navy, is lovely to see) Another was when Arlene was stumped by her son Peter Gabel. On two occasions they had the spouses of the panel come on and try and stump them. One time Arlene finally recognized husband Martin Gabel's voice and her reaction was hilarious. Ernie Kovacs had one classic zinger when the MG was industrialist Henry J. Kaiser. Ernie asked if there was an automobile company named after him (which there was). Ernie then said "This might be a wild guess, but is your name Abraham Lincoln?" I do wish they could have saved at least one of the videotapes from the final CBS season that was in color. The first season of the syndicated WML is about as close (but without the tuxes the men wore or the evening gowns worn by the ladies).
Guys I wanted to let you guys know that it is the last days. 2 Timothy 4:1-5 states "You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. People will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!" If you're not in the word, you need to get into it. If you are, read more. The enemy is getting trickier and we need to strengthen our armor. God bless you all.
It's hard to tell but it looks like you have major air gaps. I think I can even see light from the outside coming in. I have this AC unit and it comes with unique insulation blocks for the side for that U shaped holder (which I think you have folded up instead of down). If those are folded up, then how do you get the air seal on the top as the wood peace would not be flush with the AC's top?
@@invenio1978 This was the initial install when I did the video. After which, I did fill in the gaps properly. I do like that good quality foam that comes with the unit. So no gaps now and no sneaky wasps making their way in.
@@4seeableTV Hopefully the company that produces these realizes their design is perfectly suited to fill a very significant market gap for horizontal window AC units, if they just construct it so the window gap is horizontal instead of vertical. :D
Awesome install my friend. Im going to be installing this in a slider as well. Ill use the template you did but run the wood all the way up the left side with a groove for the plexiglass.
Another gimic AC. They never mention you have to make a custom screen... or, what good does it do to be able to open the window, and let anything in that is from the outside. :-p Anyway, expect water leakage in the front.
@@MundiTaurus It's actually worked pretty good so far this summer. For the cost, it can't be beat. Ideally, I'd like a mini split, but that will have to wait till next summer. And I did tilt it slightly back, so there haven't been any leakage issues in the front.
Little gripes. Cold air is worth it, and if you have the window style, you're supposed to there are no issues. This is supposed to be one of the most efficient, cold and quietest window ACs on the market
He was a Tony-award winning actor, somewhat more prolific but less successful as a Broadway producer. She was one of the wittiest and sympathetic personalities on TV. When anyone puts down someone known as a "TV personality," remind them of Miss Francis. I remember her, though it's not listed as a credit of hers at IMDB, as the host of _Amahl and the Night Visitors_ on several years of its annual broadcast. I remember her long-running radio interview show. And, of course, _What's My Line?_ Sadly, Peter Gabel died nearly two years ago.
@@entangledloops Yes the background music is annoying. But if it wasn't there, RU-vid recognizes the clip and removes it. I know because I tried it without the music and it got yanked.
Hey @4seeable! Awesome idea that I'm definitely going to use! Quick question about your setup. For the wood you cut was it just a 3/4in Melamine White MDF Panel? Thanks!
@@corbssterling also, the panel had a latch on the left side that I took off to make it flat, so it laid flush with the wood when I turned it on its side. When summer's over, I'll just screw the latch back on and put the panel back in the regular way.
@@4seeableTV Hi Thank you for the great video. I was wondering where you used half inch plywood . I just see a piece of melamine panel. Can you tell me where you use second piece of panel at ? Thank you very much.
Yes, it sits on the bracket it came with. Unlike other window units that I installed in the past where you needed the window to help hold it in. If you open the window, the unit would fall right out. But with this Midea unit, the bracket does all the holding. It's pretty cool.
Nice idea if your window panes are in 'portrait mode' (taller than wide), unfortunately my panes are 'landscape mode" (wider than tall), so it's not an option. Clever though.
