On the rear quarter panel it's not called an eyebrow it's called a fender extension, and no you cannot heat it up because it's pot metal it should have been formed to the body when in the Bodywork session as far as a trunk goes the Springs are adjustable in the adjustment to the hood lid tension, you need to do your own due diligence
You need to calm da fuq down! 🤣 Those spring rods are at max tension. On fact, I'm pretty sure I have them beyond the maximum slot. The weight of the paint, rust encapsulator and sound deadening inside obviously has made that lid heavier. Like I said in the video, I'll be using magnets for the hold open position. If you want to get SUPER DUPER technical; it's a quarter panel extension. But I've heard them called taillight eyebrow, rear taillight covers, and other stuff. 🤷🏼♂️
I am putting this same system in my 72 coupe. Your videos have been very informative and helpful. Are you planning to charge it with R12 or R134a Freon? and will you be doing it yourself? I am thinking of using R134a on mine.
Hello. I will be installing R134a and likely doing it myself. I'll know more when I get closer to that point. Life has intervened and I am not working on my car as much as I would like 🤷🏼♂️
To say this is helpful is an understatement. Do you think this is beyond a beginner's abilities? Assuming they use the Haynes and the TCI "yellow" book? Thanks for posting. Hope you're enjoying the Mustang.
I can't really speak about "beginner's ability" but if you are cautious and detailed, I don't see why this couldn't be done by anyone paying attention.
I agree that yellow C4 - C6 book is not the best and can lead to problems for someone that has not rebuilt a transmission before. It leaves some things out and is unclear in places. Those Motor Manuals are really good if you can find one.
Ebay is the best place I have found for any ol school auto literature. The Motors manuals are very thorough and have a lot of descriptions with photos. Can't say enough about them. Whenever I was concerned about anything, the Motors manual is where I would turn to
I have a question. I also have a ‘71 Mustang and I’m thinking about buying this same kit. Once you reinstalled the dash assembly did this AC/heater box assembly hang down below the dash where you can see it or is it tucked up inside where you can’t really see it. Thanks in advance.
I haven't put my dash in the car yet. But I believe that you are going to see the bottom portion of this unit somewhat. But I also believe it won't be as bulky as the original, factory setup either. I wish I had time to finish my car faster and keep update videos coming yet life sometimes gets in the way. I'm hoping to see more progress coming within the next few months
@@ob1nthank you for the quick response. I totally understand about life getting in the way. Good luck and keep us posted whenever you can. I look forward to seeing your progress.
Great question. Our guys are monitoring the pour and making movements whenever necessary to make sure there are no issues. The setting of those lower units is a lengthy process and requires constant monitoring until the splashboards are connected
Yes. I got it working and I am impressed for its size. I still have some tuning to do and I need to install my subwoofer and finish my overhead system but I've played it enough so far to realize the potential. I would buy it again
Hi- Do you tape the Thermax seams? Do you put a synthetic underlay on top of the Thermax PolyIso before the steel? Have you done 2" Thermax? Is the diagonal brace used on both the roof and walls for the engineered strength when the foam is between the steel and timber? Thanks
@Erv371 I'll do my best to answer your questions. We do not tape the seams of the thermax by default. Yet we can do so if it is desired. Again, we do not apply a "building wrap" by default for most typical shops and garages with thermax unless desired or code requires us to do so. That would depend on your area. They make a 2" thermax but we, at Morton, only offer the 1/2" and 1" options. For our buildings, thermax was intended for the use in livestock and equestrian buildings to prevent interior sweating/condensation. But some people choose to use it as a light insulation. It does seal up a building fairly good like a building wrap but, personally, I would spend the money for the extra EP insulation we offer. It's light years above anything else. And, yes, I believe I understand what are referring to when you say "diagonal brace" and that would be for engineering purposes. Hopefully this all makes sense and helps you.
Love fords, had a 68,302.what i learned as a youngster is those stock windsor heads arent even good enough for a boat anchor.replaced those.but the 4" bore and short stroke, reduces piston speed allowing higher redline comoared to chev 305"? Wich is smaller bore and longer stroke..
Put 1 on 68 cougar .40 over 302 ,dart heads w/2.02 1.60s.11:1 cam was.504 lift 306duration 108 )llobe centrr,sinngle plane,mallory ign.i think it was pete jackson gear drive.3.73 9 " replaced the stock 2.80 someyhing highway gears.and probably could hav3 gone morel toward 4.11..cam range was 3500-7500..and roller rockers
Those plates in this video are attached to our proprietary concrete columns. And I do believe that we aren't able to sell those retail/ out the door, unfortunately. However, I recommend that you contact your local Morton buildings construction office and pose the question to the repair salesperson and they may have a better answer for you. But from what I understand, this stuff is only sold and installed with a complete build package
My sausage got too fat too- just dial down his portion. He'll give you the sad eyes but he'll get over it and his quality of life will improve dramatically. I also don't eat in from of him anymore because it breaks my heart not being able to share. Well worth it to see him run like the wild little hound he is.
