I'm Evan Grist, an Electrical Engineer in Fort Collins, CO. I specialize in motorcycle & powersports electronics, charging and ignition systems. This channel will have alot of my various projects, tech info, how-to videos and more. It's mostly motorcycle, classic car/truck, off-road, music, and electronics related.
The Location/Trips feature leaves many things to be desired: - The GPS location is that of the phone you use to connect, not the location of the battery monitor. - The battery monitor will record trips even if GPS on the phone is OFF. It will record blank trips. - You cannot delete trips. - I have trips with missing sections, trips that do not follow the road... instead they just show a straight line between 2 points. These are not really related to the BM300 Pro device. They are simply software features and should be easily updated.
I love it. Mine's on order from Walmart+. 1st scanner of any kind, latest vehicle besides current 2009 Explorer 4x4 4.0 was 1989 Toyota cargo van. Can't wait to use my Android tablet with downloaded app!
I hava a 1963 two door, V8 A/T, and its some kind of rare, because all the cars that came to México in that time, came in 6 cilinder 3 gear std transmission
These are great,I bought two,so I’ve got a monitor in the car and one indoors,ANCEL told me that the transmission unit on the battery can transmit to 4 separate screens,It works great,For a few days as I was driving it didn’t show how the alternator was charging the battery,It’s because it was calibrating charging system etc for this particular car and battery,But after a few days it shows charging display as you are driving along,Great video,Can I just say the double sided tape is to attach the transmitter to the battery,As the monitor has non slip feet on the bottom,I’m just so pleased I have a monitor in the car and one indoors,They are both synced perfectly.
@@OctaneElectrons , Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) "Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (V.P.I) is a process by which a fully wound electric apparatus stator or rotor is completely submerged in a Resin. Through a combination of dry and wet vacuum and pressure cycles, the resin is assimilated throughout the insulation system. Once thermally processed, the impregnated windings become a monolithic and homogenous structure. The resulting benefits are; Higher Dielectric Strength, Increased Mechanical Strength, Greater Thermal Inductivity, Superior Protection against the Ingress of Water, Chemical and Containments. A proper global vacuum pressure impregnated winding will have superior characteristics, which will support a longer and more maintenance free life span."
Bike started real quick. I have 1994 Fxr with ev27 cam, s&s lifters, rejeted cv carb, high flow air filter and fab28 2-1 exhaust. What will this ultima ignition give me compared to the stock one? How much power it gives? Fuel mileage upgrades?
Not likely to be a massive power increase, but I think it is noticeable. I've noticed easier starting. I don't track mileage so I can't comment on that. It's a very reliable electronic ignition, especially compared to the OEM.
So I'm going thru this playlist and my wife comes out and hears your kid cry about not getting to play and we just start laughing. Real life stuff right there man.
The hardware on my basket case is what I'm concerned about. Miscellaneous nuts and bolts everywhere and I don't know what goes where. Sure wish whoever took apart my bike put the bolts back in everything like you did. That's how I work on all my stuff too, makes it so much easier later.
I'll admit I have no idea who cold trickle is 🤷♂️. I'll also admit this is the first time I've watched one of your videos. And when I first saw the dog on the couch I thought it was laying on a pile of logging chain and was like 'that effer is hardcore' 😂
At about 24:00 in you set your 'mobile' camera down and the ceiling lights are blowing out the image. I find all angles at once to be too busy but can zoom in on one if i want so no biggie. 🍻
Yeah this is awful. I thought it was a portable no need to plug in nothing device to charge a car battery. Turns out you need to plug the device to charge a car battery. Not for me. I want something I can take wherever in case of an emergency without having to plug in the device to charge a battery.
Hello great video tool looks great I purchased one it won't be in until Friday. I ordered mine off Amazon just curious if you did the same or if you ordered it off a tool truck thanks.
Dear, I bought the device and long pressed the red button and the voltage changed from 12 to 24 😔 and I could not return the voltage to 12. Is there a way? Please help me.
