Congratulations! This is so lovely I'm so happy for you and I hope you enjoy every minute of it while also continue on making progress with your Phd ❤🎉
Hi love your videos, I'm currently studying BSc Ecology. I'm so in awe of how calm you are about the conferences, being along, public speaking.. Can I ask where you got your ant t-shirt from?
@@balletickid ah Thankyou so much! It’s taken practice haha - my tshirt is from a little shop in an Ecuadorean city but I’m sure similar would be available online☺️
Just got admitted for my postgraduate studies at Oxford, and vlogs like these are so helpful for students like me who have no idea what to expect from the coming year <3 Thank you so much for uploading these! :)
hi, what was your gpa? and are those percentages written with your subjects? so you have 60s in majors, i though oxford only takes straigh As can you please cofirm this myth? this is holding me to apply tbh
The UK doesn't use a GPA system, but separates the grade boundaries as follows: - 70%+ = 1:1 - 60%+ = 2:1 - 50%+ = 2:2 - 40%+ = Pass (or 'Soft Fail' at Master's Level) - 30%+ = 'Soft Fail' ... a failing grade. High 2:1s and 1:1s are considered strong grades, particularly at high-ranking Universities 😊
This is an incredibly strange thing to comment on someone’s video 🤣no i don’t need glasses & I have no homework/exams because I’m no longer a taught student :)))) next time remember what someone has hopefully taught you ‘if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all’ lol
Hi peeps! I love watching your ox vlogs!! Keep them coming so I can dream of attending one day! Rosie, how is the research post at cam going? Hope you're enjoying it. Katie, I loved your academic cv vlog. Really helpful and informative! Thankyou!
So you did many things in just 8 minutes after waking up (even the hair?!?!) but then the cup you’re drinking from it’s not even the same mug you prepared lol
Katie, I was wondering about you work as a JD at Oxford. I saw on Instagram that you sometimes have a shift at night from 22-23 to 7 in the morning. Does it mean you have to work all night or like you stay at home and sleep like usually, and if someone calls for you, then you come to work? Could you please elaborate on that? I also plan to apply to Oxford for PhD for next year and I am very interested in this JD opportunity. Thank you in advance and I love you blogs ❤
Hi! Thank you ☺️ so I’m on call but I can sleep etc, just have to make sure the JD phone is close by (I rarely get a call out and they’re only be people who live in college). It’s a great role if you have the time & it has great benefits
Thank you! It depends on the college as some don't house post graduates. I work in college so I don't pay monthly rent (& again it depends on the college). I'll hopefully be here next year too :) sorry I couldn't help more!
Just discovered you & appreciate your content. You have such a chill vibe🤩. Ppl like you are so inspiring to me especially when down or overwhelmed which Im sure we all feel at some point. Thank you! 🥲💖
