Is crewel or embroidery thread too bulky to use or would it also work. I love these so much. I’m thinking of maybe putting a crocheted strap on one and use it as a cross-body bag. Any suggestions or pros and cons?
I don’t think so, might just be a bit more tricky to pull through. For the strap just join your yarn to the edge and chain the length of strap you want and then slip stitch to join to the other side and then single crochet back along the chain ☺️
@@craftedbycat Thank you so much for that. I have purchased a couple of your patterns and thought these envelopes would be adorable cross-body bags. I’m going to give it a try. ❤️
Hi, I love those patchwork sweaters and I bought several 20g colored wool strips. Could you help me by telling me more or less how many inches you cut the yarn’s strips? Thank you so much.
This is a 5mm hook with Aran yarn but you can use any hook size and any weight and type of yarn. Just keep working the square until it’s the size you want 😊
I’m still a beginner crocheter, so I practice with leftover yarn before starting the project. If anyone else would like to practice this blanket with a smaller size, chaining 31 to start will get you 1 repeat; 46 chain stitches for 2 repeats.
I’m a bit confused , these instructions differ to the ones on the website. Also you need to do the same on the other side of the bag to get 2 handles , but it doesn’t say that. Great little project though. Really enjoyed these granny squares 😊
There’s lots of different ways to do it. I found it easier to explain it that way for the written pattern and easier this way for the video! Either way gives you the same result 😊 glad you’re enjoying it!
I lost my comment. I loved the stitch. I find that when learning a new stitch, it is best to use solid colors so that the person learning have a more clear, and exact direction to follow. When you showed your finished multi color scarf , I thought it was beautiful. As a new person getting instructions , I can grasp the work easier in one solid color. You are also a very good instructor as you are slow and calm when providing information. I am new at this hobby and I love it. I will try to make one and will let you know how it came out. Thank you so much. I am going to look forward for your beautiful wo
This stitch is very pretty. I noticed that you used a solid color to demonstrate how it is done. I think that is a wonderful idea because it shows exactly the steps. When you presented the one in different colors is absolutely beautiful, however, when you use one solid color the work involved is easier for people like me who doesn’t have the skills.
