Great video. These are the projects that should have started in the 1980s. However, better late than never. Two questions: 1. When will the track be completed to Patra? 2. Is there a plan for the old track right of way? The old bridges? It would make a great walking and cycling route.
Thanks for your comment. 1. The Track to Patra involves other contracts of the State owned company called ERGOSE S.A., which are either in progress or/and preparing to be put to tender. The final schedule will be announced by ERGOSE with the Tender of the last stretch of track to Patra. 2. The plan for the use of the remaining old metrical track is the responsibility of the Greek National Railway Authority “OSE”. The plan in our contract was to reserve as much as possible of the old (single metrical line) track for future use by OSE (either walking routes or local-short old train routes).
