Absolutely great video Alexandru! Just out of sheer curiosity, is it possible you still got this project on your device? i'd love to get a copy to translate all the text to spanish to show the technicians who are newish to the field

Respectful Greetings! To: Channel Participants. Question: What exactly is an electrical substation? An electrical substation is a vital component of an electrical system that plays a crucial role in efficiently distributing electricity. It is a facility where voltage levels are changed and controlled as electricity moves between transmission and distribution systems. The primary purpose of an electrical substation is to step higher voltages down to a level suitable for use in homes and businesses. This is done through circuit breakers and other equipment to ensure safe and reliable power delivery. With substations, it is possible to have a functioning distribution system that can efficiently provide electricity to consumers. The installation and maintenance are essential to ensuring the stability and reliability of the overall electrical grid. Question: How does an electricity substation operate? It operates by receiving high-voltage electricity from power plants or transmission lines and then converting it to lower voltages that can be distributed to homes and businesses. The substation typically consists of several components, including switches, reclosers, and other equipment that help control the flow of electricity. One of the main functions of the substation is to protect against power surges that could damage electronic devices. By regulating the voltage and using reclosers to reset the circuit automatically in case of a fault, the substation helps keep the power supply stable and reliable. In summary, an electricity substation is an intermediary between the high-voltage transmission lines and the lower-voltage distribution lines that deliver power to our homes and businesses. Its components work together to ensure a constant electricity supply while protecting against potential hazards like surges and faults. Transmission Substations Transmission substations are facilities where electricity can be transmitted from high to lower voltages or vice versa. These substations contain metallic fences to isolate and control the electromagnetic fields generated. They are sometimes used to step up or down the voltage before it reaches the end user. A transmission substation typically consists of static and recloser devices and electronic equipment for regulation and monitoring. The output from the substation site is either connected directly to an overhead conductor or through a sub-transmission AC station. Transmission substations are also equipped with yellow and black labels on equipment to help access and identify parts while on site. The conversion is done according to the required output voltage needed for the distribution grid. These substations play a crucial role in making sure that the electricity generated by power plants can safely and efficiently connect and eventually reach the end user without any disconnection in the supply. The fences surrounding the substation site also contain regulation signs for safety measures. Distribution Substations Distribution substations are essential to the electric distribution grid and are crucial in delivering electricity to various local distribution networks. These substations are strategically located throughout the transmission system, typically near power plants. When power lines carrying electricity from a generator or power plant enter a substation, several substation steps are taken to reduce the voltage magnitude to a level suitable for distribution to residential and commercial customers. Substations are designed to regulate power flow from the transmission network and insulate and protect against potential hazards such as lightning strikes and electrocution. The substations disconnect the power from the transmission lines and connect it to one or more adjacent distribution lines via current transformers and cables. The substations also transform the high transmission voltages to lower levels for safe and effective distribution to end-users. Obligingly! Luís Van-Dúnem
