Brilliant solution with one caveat… the battery warning light comes on and stays on which is almost as irritating as the start/stop, but not quite. Such an obnoxious feature could only be the product of big gov.
I was looking at these exact same two buckets online and trying to determine exactly how they differ. Your video was the exact info I wanted. Much appreciated.
What a totally crappy design!!! This is ridiculous but you clearly identified the problem and the cure. Thanks so much because I was at my wits end trying to figure it out. The latch would work perfectly on the bench but not when it was installed due to the misadjustment of the handle rod. Another Ford engineering F-up!!!
Research loading a column and you'll find rhe slenderness ratio used to calculate failure under buckling. Aside from a high slenderness ratio when fully extended any movment at the top height of a heavy item will cause a significant amount of deflection and instability. Im wondering if a basic rail system with linear guides could be employed as an H frame to brace side loading and increase stability
There's just one little problem with that, and you obviously don't know it. You are disabling the BMS, or Battery Management System, by disconnecting that terminal. I don't want my BMS disabled as it warns me when the battery is not working properly.
I just bought the same mud flaps on Amazon (now $65, inflation), fit exactly the same as Ford OEM, perfect fit. I did drill (as it is only is into the outer trim piece anyway and could easily replace if they didn't work out). 100% satisfied, thanks for blazing the trail for me. Oh and I painted the clips with some black Alumihide epoxy paint, they disappear.
I’m skeptical about getting permanent power from the video wire. Did you end up doing it that way? Does it really work? Here are my doubts: the video signal is not a DC and it’s not 12V al the time.
This was good. Blackstone report was interesting to read. Thanks for sharing. Is there a torque spec for the oil drain plug? I seem to recall seeing or hearing about that somewhere
That was awesome! However, since we don't have the rest of the towing package features, and ours will never be used for towing, only a dog step and possibly a bike rack, we're looking at the Draw-Tite 76905 hitch. It's completely invisible.. Unfortunately though, it's availability is also invisible! It doesn't seem to be currently available? Great video though! Thank you for that!
Guy talks for seven minutes and only manages to tell us what stop start is in that whole time. Jesus Oh and you didnt point out that the alternator is capped to 60amp charging if you disconnect this, its the current sensor needed for the smart alternator
Darn..saw the headlines....hoping it would be the answer to my issue...Can't get the hood to pop on my -68. It worked just fine, then suddenly not. Great video anyway, thanks
Wonder if you might know, as I have a Lovinton Motion sensor light i’m about to hook up that has a black and red wire but it has two blue wires instead of just one,, so are they both common wires? Thanks for any advice.
Everytime I take one apart its over it never ever ever works right again 😢..am i just not gifted in this area or something?? Thanks for the video I will try as you are very easy to follow
