I am with you on the grey! Such a boring colour, but I guess some sort of modulation can make it interesting. Even the polish red and white crosshatch (I don’t know the English term ;) is supposed to be grey on F-35! Absurd in my opinion! Anyways, great to see you involving family, and spreading the greatness of the hobby!
I have since doing that video found some really good photos of them actually weathered and looking very gnarly But yes some modulation would make them look better! I think its checker board you mean?! Loads of 2 clouded squares?
Indeed it is checkerboard! I feel that the red and white has to be kept, as it is kind of history I guess. Anyways, modulation is something I may dive into as I am about to paint an Su-25 when I get the paints. Any tips?
@@KGmodels lost shading is normally a good way of doing it. Doing a mottle/marbling effect then a light coat of the top colour till you happy with it. I dont think i have a good anuf video on this but check this one out by Scaleaton ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QefprHcsLZs.htmlsi=Jakh_kPnawbZvV-Z theres abit in there on the top surface if a F14 thats shows it perfectly
Cool, during the Cold War, Sweden had its own nuclear b*mb project going on and also had plans for an aircraft to carry the bombs ... so this, could could have been an option to the Swedish aircraft ...
It should be painted with no signs of use and weathering as this aircraft was never used by the Swedish Air Force...Basically it never got beyond the prototype. Otherwise, it is a very nicely made model.
I really liked that; it looks great in that scheme. Judging by the accent you are better placed than most of us to check on details as there is a TSR2 in the RAF museum at Cosford.
How could this have come about? 1. The TSR2 wasn't canceled. 2. The Swedish nuclear bomb program wasn't canceled. 3. The SAAB Project 1300 (SAAB 36) nuclear bomber was canceled (as it really was). 4. Sweden bought TSR2 instead of SAAB 36.
@@Akm72 probably but it could of depended if TSR2 delivered on what it was meant tobe really the only thing it proved was it could get of the ground and the Olympus engines were really good!
If you're interested in feedback from a Swede. 😁 The colors of the camo are spot on, and you put the colors in such an order as they would really be on for example a Viggen. They're a bit sharp, which gives away that you freehanded them, but I wouldn't say that's an issue really, only in you would have been really painting for the Airforce. 😁 I'm impressed, I'd definitely say you did justice to the camouflage, and it's really nice to see you do it on video. I'm always honored when people abroad build Swedish. 🙂
Thanks mate! Ye i looked out ours and its almost barely noticeable i didnt feel like trying to sort it out just a simple build😁 but i think for the age of the kit its not to bad!
@@SullysScaleModels it is lovely!! If you could see the real one from above you would see it lol. I have two kits in the stash with all the resin goodies from Wolfpack.
Not quite, so rust colour 1st you will then need a chipping medium 2-3 layers let each dry soon as the last coat is dry(best when in the same day) then what ever top coat colour you want just dont put a thick coat on just anuf that you cant se the rust. Then with some water then remove what you want
Really nicely done! I love a TSR-2 what-if. I have 2 Pitt Road 1:144, 3 Airfix 1:72 and 1 Airfix 1:48 TSR-2 kits. I will definately do a Wild Weasel version in RAF 70's wrap around camo and am thinking about a shortened, increased span interceptor with a Phantom nose. The good thing about the 1:144 scale kits is that they let you trial a kit bash for not much money. I have a 1:144 F-4J and a Tornado F.3 to play with for the TSR-2 interceptor.
Hi Sully, that camo scheme was absolutely outstanding, even if it was a 'what if' scheme, congratulations on a job very well done, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
Well i think that is the best what if TSR iv ever seen. Im not a TSR fan either but thats great. I did a 1.72 with a Captain Scarlet theme. Turned out to be ... mmeh...
I love these what if style builds 👍 I had a look at a real TSR2 at Duxford museum. I reckon at 1:48th scale you could fill most of the panel line in. Such a super clean airframe, all be it rather dull in white. Subscribed
Looks amazing Sully, for sure out of your comfort zone, but you smashed it,better than What I could do,and even though the camo looks difficult you done an amazing job at it!
