Waoooooo that sucks! Ojalá q tu drone no haya sufrido muchos daños y q puedas volver a volarlo pronto...🤞🏾🤞🏾 Q tengas un excelente dia.

I actually extended the fuselage boom aprox. 3" Be aware that the stock tail rotor motor will give up sooner or later as it is over worked as the scale stabilizer shades the airflow. I was lucky that it happened just coming in for a landing at 2' hight
@@tropicairrl6121 thankyou, i appreciate your time and experience and for your quick reply. I'll stock up on rear motors. Roughly how many flights do you thin it had before it failed?
Actually the tail rotor got over powered, a problem when using the MD-500 fuselage with the scale stabilizer with the FW-450 mechanics. You can hear through out the video how hard this little motor has to work to stabilize the heli. Thanks for watching.
I am in the middle of my Pawnee build. I use stinger engines on all of my planes. I thought of putting a twin on this build but had a new stinger 20cc single already so thats whats going on it. I can always go back later and change the engine out part of the fun of the hobby great video thanks for posting it

Interesting.... I have a Pawnee and have been trying to decide if I want to use a DLE 20cc single or a Stinger 20cc twin for power. I see you were able to mount the twin without the heads sticking out the sides of the cowl. That is pretty cool. Couple questions for you.... Do you think the single would have given you more power than the twin? I noticed you mentioned it was scale like in performance. Also, I have heard with the DLE installed there is still a considerable amount of nose weight needed to be added to get to proper CoG. After installing the twin, how difficult was it to get the correct CoG? Did it require a ton of weight in the nose, tail? The plane appeared to be a good flyer. Appreciate your thoughts. Great video!
Thanks for watching! Use mostly twins as I do not like the vibrations of the singles, also videos with a wing mounted cam would not have been possible. Do not think that a 20cc single would have more power as the new Stinger twin. My setup is quite heavy but did not need any additional weight to balance using three 3000mAh battery packs. One just in front of the CG and two behind. The Pawnee flies very predictable and basic aerobatics can be flown quite clean but for knife edge the elevator corners have to be cut at the apropiate angel to get max rudder throw. Also reenforced the fuselage, at the bulkhead where the wing leading edge rests, with glass fiber mat and resin as suggested in one of the RCForums. It is actually a fun plane to fly and also well build. Now, after 70+ flights, I am happy that I used the 20cc Stinger for this type of plane, eventhough I wished to have some more power after the first few flights. Regards
A little windy but it looks like you both handled it well. What tires did you use for grass? I just got this plane and would like to do the same for grass takeoffs and landing.
LOSING not LOOSING : Is loosing or losing correct? “Losing” is correct. It is the popular word for the inability to locate or find a possession or the inability to win at gambling. “Loosing” is a rather archaic word for “loosening,” It means to untie or untighten a rope or other item, such as a horse's harness.
Beautiful flight followed by a textbook landing 😀 Congratulations on such a great flight ✈️ 😀 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2024... Greetings from Douglas, Arizona 🌵🦠😷🇵🇷 1st comment and like 👍🏾
Nice mod thinking of doing this myself for my X12S. Where can i find the screen to purchase, and where does it connect to on the main board. Is it straight swap, or do i need to solder in connections
Hi it is by far the best mod I ever did to a Tx and it is relatively easy a quick to do but there is some soldering involved. The instructions are in German but are easy to follow also if you are not a German speaker. Once you have all necessary parts it takes about 2 hours to mod the X12S. If you have ISRM already installed you will have again a completely up to date radio. Here are the instructions. Wilhelm Maier has also a video regarding the mod on youtube. wimalopaan.github.io/Electronics/rc/touch.html You will need a touch screen overlay which you can get here www.buddyrc.com/products/radiomaster-tx16s-touch-panel-update-set And the touch screen adapter you get here www.amazon.com/FPC-6PIN-2-54MM-Adapter-Connector-Converter/dp/B09T6P7YBJ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=29POBF6F6THQ5&keywords=adapter+fpc-6p+0.5mm&qid=1703443433&sprefix=adapterfpc-6p+0.5mm%2Caps%2C433&sr=8-1 You will also need some cable around 20 gauge if in different colors, better. If you get to do the mod I am sure you won't regret it and if you are already on EdgeTx 2.8.0 or higher, even better. I do recommend to get a correctly sized screen protector and install it once you applied the touch screen overlay, immediately after to make sure not to scratch it while installing it back in the Tx housing. Any questions feel free to contact me. You also can get information about the mod in the RC-Forums on the Horus X12S Thread, A New Beginning.. Happy Holidays
@@tropicairrl6121 Thank you so much. And happy holidays to you and family as well. I was actually looking at doing the ISRM update to ACCeSS when I found this video. May as well do it all while it's apart. The Horusrc store lists the ISRM module as all ready loaded with the firmware. Does that me to me that it's a straight plug and play, no firmware needed to be done. I'm not great at computers, so moving files ect gets a bit confusing for me. One question I do have with the ACCeSS protocols, does it also increase your channel count from 16 to 24. Enabling full use of the RB30, and other ACCeSS Rx with a channel count of 12pwm/24 Sbus out. Thanks in advance
In the long run you most probably will not get around updating the firmware of you receivers and module. It is important to have the latest 2.1.... firmware version installed specially when you are using the new archer plus receivers and want to use all features. On the other hand it is very simple to do so with EdgeTx OS. There are different ways to do it, I prefer just copying the new firmwares to the SD card. In case of first receiver upgrades a cable with switched plus minus has to be prepared but after it can be done OTA. Access provides 24 channels. Eventhough I use a couple of R12 Plus receivers I had no need for more than the provided channels using ithem on gliders and gassers exclusively. So I did not try it out but should work.
@@tropicairrl6121 thanks again. My ACCST receivers and radio have the latest updated 2.1 firmware. Currently using OpenTx. Haven't Taking the plunge to EdgeTx yet as my old, but stable X12S Horus doesn't have the touch screen, but have now seen other on RU-vid have made that convertion. Starting to think I need to spend a little on my radio, rather than spending a huge amount on a compete new X20S, and relearn a new OS. Buy making these up grades to My X12S it'll brought up to spec, keeping the known OS and for a lot cheaper. In the process of building a self drawn EDF, Scale with so far 15 channels used without any gyros added. It's a bit much really, but working slats, flaps, spoilers, doors and retracts, tailvators, wing sweep ect. 1/12 F111G twin 80mm. 70"ws. I've no idea if it is going to ever leave the ground, but it's a lot of fun building it, and automating as many surfaces as to prototype. LoL 🤣👍.
I have my glider retracts always in auto mode when taking off. They retract at 10m altitude and come down aswell when I get lower than 10m over take off altitude. Never failed. Thanks for watching and happy Holidays!
