Been making music in this DAW for a long time and I didn’t know about this functionality. It is for sure great for IDM. Will use it for sure. Thank you ❤
I think a lot of people would be interested to see you make a track completely from scratch. Thanks a lot, one of the best videos on youtube on this topic)
thanks for this chris your music is fantastic and this lesson i important for last few years, my theory is techno producers started tech house and old trance producers started minimal deep tech now days. i will be inspired by you and hybrid man and show us more and never stop making doing groove ! <3 God bless !
This is a super awesome course! It is like a masterclass on using Ableton Live and its midi effects and instruments, free tools, and samples, to create unpredictable, non-repetitive minimal glitch ear candy. Yes it's in the style of Ricardo Villalobos, but this goes so far beyond that. Christopher goes way beyond traditional songwriting methods and opened my mind to so many new ways to approach drums, baseline, leads, atmospheres and textures. All new ways to creating a track unlike any other tutorials out there. Best $31 I could have spent!
A bit disappointing that it's not mentioned that he's making the track in Villalobos' style... I was hoping to get an insight into how Christopher makes his own music... a bit of a bummer for the price
We are sorry that you're feeling this way. The complete track created in this course is available for listening on the product page, and it’s there to give customers a clear understanding of the style. Also, the product description clearly states that, in this course, Chris demonstrates techniques for crafting a trippy minimal track. While the track draws inspiration from Ricardo Villalobos' minimal style, Christopher presents his own unique approach to creating this genre. We believe it's an excellent and highly educational tutorial, receiving positive feedback so far.
Found this really useful but did you consider recording the MIDI on another channel for editing, adding swing, etc? I know it's an extra step and you can do the same in audio to some extent but just wondered the pros and cons of each approach
