AZ Gun Guys is all about safely enjoying guns and the great outdoors. We show different guns and give opinion about them. Show shooting video's steel targets and of course Tannerite..
Sir, is this barrel originally black coated inside? My P322 looks like it has a mirror shiny black finish and i'm not sure if this is burnt in carbon or one of these diamond like carbon finishes... appreciate any help here, thanks a lot and greetings from Austria!
Love my P322 Comp.....HATE the mags for it. Why nobody has made a steel mag with a stronger spring yet idk. If I had the machines to make them I would.
I am adding exactly as described thousands of round and someday jam someday good. Very frustrating. As far as leadin̈g up just switch to copper jacket problem solved.
Finally someone did a one to one actual comparison. Astra s are not Signs, but you ve made a compelling case that Sig s were the pistols Astra chose to " model" their line of pistols from. From 1911, most existing successful pistols have been derived from 6 or 7 basic designs. Nearly everything that followed was a variation. As for me, I like the idea that Astra chose to model their line of pistols after the Sigs. Might be interesting to compare a Sig P6 steel shooter to an Astra A-80 single stack, or maybe an a-75. Question...would the steel frame hold up better to the sand and grit exposure of a real combat pistol? Hummmmm
Many thanks for your informative video. Well done. Early in my 30 year LEO career in Texas, I owned and carried an Astra A-80 in 45 ACP. Later, when I was training to become a Special Agent with US Customs, we were trained on the Sig P-226 in 9mm. By that point, I had let go of the A-80 but was quicker than my classmates to catch on to the innovative P-226 because of my experience with the A-80 which has a very similar design and a virtually identical designed action. However, I think it is fair to say the similarities ended there. My experience was that the A-80 had a far superior trigger and much smoother operating decocking lever. The short barreled yet full sized and all steel pistol was a hefty hand full which I appreciated. I also appreciated that this pistol, at the time, 1980s, was available in 9mm, 38 Super & 45 ACP and that all those chamberings were made in the same gun which was built with a double stacked magazine which resulted in a 11 rounds of 45 ACP! That was very impressive firepower in those days whereas the Sig's 45ACP, the P-220, was only available in a single column magazine at that time. Thus, the Astra was both more innovative in design, operation and chamberings. On the other hand, I was never able to get my own A-80 to operate smoothly with the cheap reloaded 45 ACP rounds I had. I regret I never had the money in those days to better test the pistol and had to sell it. Later still, I was very interested in the A-100 (especially because of the magazine release button move) but during my undercover days, the much more compact 9mm Smith 469 which also had respectable capacity became my choice especially since I could get it at cost back then. When I look back on it, I feel that Astra erred with the innovative A-100 by not allowing further innovation although they focused on a the smaller A-75. I wish they had built the A-100 with a longer barrels, 4.25 & 5 inches, and interchangeable calibers not unlike the Jericho 941 of the same era. They might have been much more competitive as the A-100 was a very solid handgun and a very competitive price point that might have attracted more folks away from Sig Sauer.
I have the Tisas Duty B45 myself and it’s very well made and the grips on them are cheaply made which is why most folks including myself change them out. I had one break in half while at the range so I switched the grips out with some g10 grips
5:41 The SW MP15-22 mag is the SAME exact way, you have to pull the tab down just enough to slide in 1 round, then pull the tab down a bit more to allow the 2nd one to slide in and so forth, the same way, because it you don't, stove pipes every shot or every other shot. I believe the TX-22 AND the MP22 are all the same method with this drop down tab. I can say the Keltec P17 is not like this at all. The P17 mag loads like a normal center fire mag, there is no loading it wrong, it has a normal follower that you push down using the round.
Not 1 issue with mine. Takes a couple mins to load a mag of 20 and have been running cci 40gr. I haven't had any leading of the barrel yet, but I clean it everytime I come home from the range.
@Valorius has done videos on this issue as well. The problem he has said he has is that if he leaves the mags loaded over time they flex/swell and cause the follower to hang up, and cause jams. He said as long as he keeps them loaded with 13rds they work fine. He has a playlist on the P322.
Glad to see you back on the air! Miss seeing your shoots. Hopefully I can get back out that way again sometime soon and we can go spend some more time out in the desert.
It's a pity that subtitles are not available. Then more people interested in this great gun could understand this review. Recently I managed to buy Barak II IWI and I am delighted with it. The weapon is incredibly accurate. I am still considering purchasing the presented model because I like this weapon so much. I additionally purchased Jericho 941 F IMI, which is also a great and accurate weapon :-)
These magazines are the absolute worst magazines I’ve ever dealt with. Complete garbage. They expand if you leave it loaded with the max capacity (not forced extras) and then the nub on the follower grabs the anywhere it bowed, they it won’t push the rounds up. Junk.
hmm, never heard of a mag swelling because its loaded with rounds. I think thats more of a temperature thing or contaminated plastic from the factory. Some guys said the MP15-22 mag has the same issue where about 3 inches from the top where the tab slides down thru the channel will swell causes the follower to get stuck there which leads to failure to chamber. I have 6 of those mags and have had them for 6 months now and they are always kept loaded until my next range day, i shoot them off, come home and fill them back up and they all stay loaded until i shoot again, i also do this to my Keltec P17, those plastic mags are are loaded until i go the range.
It was early in the morning, So the sun was not all the way up. temp. was not bad. If you don't get there early all the spots are taken up. This was number 5 or 6 . The better ones were taken up. Thanks for watching.
Good video. I believe (heck maybe I’m wrong, it wouldn’t be the 1st time) the 1st SP 2022s actually came in a cardboard box, still one mag & not sure about the holster. When I purchased my SP 2022, it was in FDE, one mag, holster and I later picked up 2 extra mags. I had a Glock, it was a lemon, sold it to the local pawn store and bought the SIG SP2022. I’ve never had a malfunction with the SP2022 and would highly recommend it. Later in life I snagged a P226 for a great price and a P6 as well. My other go to gun is a CZ 75. Stay safe and shoot straight.
Keltec says to get about 8 rounds in and to top the back side of the mag (rim fire side) to a hard surface to "seat" the rounds down and then continue to load till 16 in.
Filling my p322 mags to 20/25 rds respectively jper manufacturer’s directions results in the rounds getting stuck and therefore not feeding no matter how carefully I load. If I load only 18/23 respectively, the rounds don’t get stuck. Seems more rounds results in the mags bulging.
Mine is going back to the factory for the second time. Failure to feed after failure to feed after failure to feed. Occasional stovepipe to break the monotony. It won't feed anything hollow point. And I've used the loading tool just far enough to put a round in and it still has failure after failure. I'll get two or three shots and then get another failure to feed. Apparently, Sig hasn't heard of anti tilt magazine followers. Gun is fabulous, magazine are crap.
Imo the finicky mags kill this gun; i can load 3 10 rnd single stack mags in the time it takes me to load the sig mag, and still have problems. It should take a half hour of youtune tutorials for someone to learn how to load a mag.
Who imported this gun first? Was it lkci or sds? I ask cause the internet doesnt seem to know. I just recently bought one but its stamped lkci not sds.
Hello Mr740juggalo I am not sure who imported first. from what I have seen there is a lot of different model by different importers from Turkey. I was trying to find one their FN Hipower clones and that model is no longer imported to the USA.
I love the idea of it but the draw from it looks bad. Like you’re not getting a good purchase on it. I want one but in a stressful situation, idk about that draw.
Byron I contacted Magnum Reseach about this model. and They told me this is not one that they import. there was a very small amount that was imported after Magnum Reseach stopped importing by another importer. Magnum Reseach found out ( because the guns has their name on them) and Had them stop. Magnum Sereach will not warranty this gun but said if I need help they can do what they can to get parts or service not under warranty.
I am having problem with mine doing a little strike on the bullet. I looked around and no parts. I am going to contact MR and see if they have any firing pins.
@@azgunguys8208 mine is the actual one that was imported from magnum research like I said I have had it for years and still has the stickers on the box from magnum you sure don't see them very often for sure
I've never seen that version of the Sig 2022. Man that's a Beautiful gun. Now I really have to look around for it. I only saw it in black and you are the first I've seen showing a stainless slide.
Good video. My P322 does not cycle reliably with any ammo except high velocity 40 grain and heavier bullets. Any bullets with a wax coating jam in the magazine... NOT rhe gun. As you say, the mags need to be loaded correctly. With the right ammo the P322 shoots and shoots and shoots. And the little gun is ACCURATE. And with the Armory Craft trigger it is a dream.
I load mags correctly. I have no issues except for this gun. The gun may or not be fine, but I'm taking this steaming pile of shit back. I'm supposed to trust my life to this? The damn thing stove pipes when you just cycle the weapon and not even firing..
Both my mags was running perfect til yesterday and now both won’t keep tension on the round and causing nose dives an stuck follower til you shake it. I been shooting suppressed but they aren’t visually dirty but I still stripped an cleaned them an still problem not solved
