The Cultural Exchange Program is only for university students, there is the cultural representative program which is open to anyone over the age of 18! On a website called yummy jobs, it has all the requirements for each program x
I'm going this year and cannot waitttt! what types of shoes did yous wear to the strip? and could you recommend any good places to go and eat throughout the day?
Flats!! I wore trainers, sandals etc. I wouldn’t recommend heels. And anywhere on the beach/on the strip is cheap and nice! I would also say, we got quads some of the days and went for food in some of the local places and it’s incredibly cheap but really really nice! So definitely venture out if you can!☺️
So the CEP you have to be enrolled into university and be in your second year I believe! The 2024 applications are already complete, so I would keep an eye out on yummy jobs (either their socials/website) if you meet the criteria for the CEP! On the website it also has all the info on the criteria you need to meet to be able to do it☺️
@itsfenneh697 I believe it is an accredited university course rather than college. Are you a UK participant? Just as I know other countries have different requirements for the CEP and have to go directly through Disney☺️
My friends all stayed in workers accommodation so we could go in and out as we pleased, there are some hotels that have strict rules, whereas others don’t really care too much
Hi!❤ this is so cute! ❤ what I don't get is loads of content creators do these kind of vids and get like 1mil likes yet im ur only like ! U deserve more! ❤
Just got my offer letter from Disney for the CEP this Summer to be a photopass photographer and so excited! For sorting visas, when did you manage to go to sort that out? Because I don't know if there are only limited dates available for them and I'm hoping I still have enough time to sort mine out before I go!
That’s incredible! Congratulations!! And I would get it done as soon as possible! I’m sure yummyjobs kind of advised us through those steps though, but if not I would look at getting it done as soon as you can!☺️
I believe you have to be in your second year of uni, you can’t apply as a first year student! I’d check on the yummy jobs website to be certain though!
@@leahjane_xo that sucks if it is the case - yummy jobs says that you have to complete a semester but with no specification of when, and i cant seem to find anything elsewhere. im in sixth form and would love to do the program asap!!
@shadesofwhitee I know it’s definitely university level rather than a-levels! But there is also other programs available! There’s the CRP (a year long program) and the academic exchange program (a year long program when you’re a student in uni - specific to uni and course) which again has all the eligibility on their website!
Sorry lovely I thought this was a different video! The like spa/pool place in krakow is near zakopane and they’re called thermal spa! If you type it in on Google they come up with day trips etc!😌x
I did record my whole process in my “I’m moving to walt Disney world” video, but Disney basically ask you about why you want to work for Disney, what roles you’re interested in and why you’d like this roles. Some of my friends had longer interviews with Disney but mine was around 5-10 minutes, it was super quick!xx
hey! i love watching your videos, im about to fly out for the CEP in a few weeks and watching your videos has helped a lot and gotten me so excited to go! i just had one question what did you use to transfer money across when you were out there? like did you use revolut or monzo or something else? :)
Thank you so much!😌 and they give you a an American bank card/bank all set up that your payments automatically go onto. I tried loads of different apps like wise etc and couldn’t get mine to transfer so I ended up just using my American card for all my purchases. The card does also work for online purchases (both in and out of the states). Some of the other people I did the cep with managed to get it to transfer over and others just withdrew it from an atm before we left and exchanged it 😌
@@leahjane_xo could you transfer money into the american account that they set up? and did the card still work after you were no longer a cast member? im just trying to think what to use as i want to travel after work is finished :D
I’m ngl my year was a bit rushed so we knew it all from applying to interviews to being accepted in around a months time. I applied at the start of April and knew by the end but I think usually the applications open around now, you have interviews in like September and you find out before January x
There were a few in our apartment, we had some millipedes and silverfish with being on the ground floor and meg had a cockroach in her bathroom once but we kept reporting it to the front desk and we were put on a pest control list every week so they did start dropping nearer to the end of our stay x
hey !! i'm starting the CEP this summer and i'm kinda nervous about going long distance with my bf :( how did u guys manage it? do you have any advice? xx
I’ll be completely honest with you, it is difficult and you will find at some points you’ll feel homesick, but I would never say to anyone not to do it because once you’re there, you are so busy in the parks and doing things that your mind isn’t too focused on home! I FaceTimed my boyfriend everyday (sometimes more than once🤣) and whenever I was sad I’d ring and we’d have a chat! Honestly the experience is once in a lifetime and that’s all you’ve got to keep reminding yourself!xx
@@leahjane_xo yeah i'm definitely gonna do it cus it's something i've been wanting to do for years and i'm dead excited but i was just worried i wouldn't get time to facetime him and stuff ! but you've made me feel a bit better about it! :) xx
Honestly it depends on situations but my boyfriend worked till 4 most days and because of the time difference I would either ring him late morning or the middle of the day (even if you’re in a park you can do this)!xx
@@leahjane_xo oh yeah that’s a good point about ringing even if ur in the park ! that makes it seem far more manageable ! even when i’m just home for easter i sometimes call him multiple times in a day 😂😂 x
When I was there, west campus wasn’t fully finished being built so a lot of people preferred east! Traditions and all the Disney desks/meet&greets were at east campus too! Also, it seemed like more of the events and more people lived over at east and for people to come to it from west it is a bus ride! However, I genuinely wouldn’t have minded living in either, they both have very similar facilities etc!
hey! how are you? i recently applied to the program as an international student and i am still in consideration, but i wanted to know how long it usually takes to get to the interview phase?
Hi! I will be honest our applications opened really late (we applied in April and flew out in June) so ours was roughly 2 weeks to find out! But usually I think the wait can be anywhere up to a few months! Good luck btw!
@@leahjane_xo I applied literally 3 days ago, been in consideration since april 4th, im anxious as u can see. so thank you so much for answering!! and thank u !!
I vlogged all my adventures as a Disney cast member on the cultural exchange program and I visited universal multiple times whilst I was there! you can find this playlist by clicking the link: ru-vid.com/group/PLnctaQGQHGVUTc_6mUgW9C_Xdacgo02tJ

I answer the first part to your question in part 2 of this video (going up Sunday)! And I definitely would have packed an outfit for traditions, most of the clothes you’d want to wear out there for park days etc (you don’t need loads tho) and just the normal toiletries etc cause they’re quite pricey from target x
