the gold chocobo was really fast to get because he decided to race them to increase the chances, also he had access to the 4x speed mod thingy to speed it up when racing
@@_Trixie playing back on the OG disc, there was no 4Xs mod. I had to do the races at whatever speed the game allowed me to go. Not to mention, hunting for specific chocobos. And you cant know the status of the chocobo until you visit the farm and check.
When I played this game during Covid, my buddy told me I specifically needed a blue male chocobo and I spent 2 days resetting before giving up and realizing a blue female would work
When playing years ago I randomly noticed - and I don't know if it's ENTIRELY fool proof - that by breeding just after your playtime hits the next hour, I'd always get the chocobo I needed. Worked pretty much everytime for me after that.
Chocobo breeding, shiny pokemon hunting, those fucking chalice dungeons. Some of the worst shit in my life came from some of the best things in my life lmao.

@@CraftySama the one from last week, I just remembered it's not on youtube because it was really just a twitch thing, it was a reward for 23k subscribers, so you need to check the vods on twitch, no haste tho because max has a deal with twitch so his vods never disappear
I remember playing FF7 a long time back and trying to do all side stuff and admittedly probably using a guide but it's been a long time. Is chocobo breeding that time consuming or are there ways to get the result you want easier?
The worst part would be if he got so used to see a chicken, reset… and then he gets it, and his reflex just resets… that happens to me quite a lot in life…
