@@Kloco78 may bad lol take the gold piece on the end off with an allen key thread the cable onto the throttle bracket on throttle body then put the gold piece into the throttle body and feed the cable through the gold piece when it is inside the throttle body then put the allen key back into the gold piece it locks the cable in place. Hope that's what you're asking 🤷🏽
It would be hard to overstate how substantial this Moroso unit is. I received the 85474 which is pretty much this one with a different bracket, and it's a chonker. Love it. It doesn't matter which inlet/outlet serves what purpose does it? I have another catch can for my valve cover breather that feeds to my air intake that it does matter which one comes from the pcv valve and which one goes to the intake manifold. So I'm wondering. But it looks like both ports just feed to the stainless steel mesh and it doesn't matter. Thanks!
@@mackchannel6348 That thing is super beefy 🤣 it's been a while since I opened it up but I believe one side has a baffle before the stainless mesh It would be better to have the dirty side go through the baffle then through the mesh. . . but technically you're right it goes both ways either way is fine!
I ordered from them and it was extremely unprofessional and I didn’t get my kit for a few months then it came with the wrong drill bits which they never did supply. I really wish some other than get em made this kit.
My junk has leaked for years when sitting and it’s also seeps through the bolt holes every time. Somehow after a long time of not running, a huge puddle is underneath the pan 😔. I have the stamped steel shallow pan
I see you got the ACc carpet from ground up... unfortunately, it's not cut right from the manufacturer, which is unfortunate. I had to get mine refitted at a Upholstery shop because there was too much meat in the trans tunnel and not enough at the back. Glad to see you got yours in good 👍
Yep sure do lol It would have been better to have quick performance weld on any other bracket truthfully might end up changing them I'm not liking the lack of height adjustment. . .true height adjustment.
yep I think it'll fit, it's a little over 3 ft, headrest pulled out, mount flat on the ground to the top of the headrest, seat back 90°. . . Hope that helps. . . . Appreciate the support 🤙🏽
@@drejackson1000 yeah they barely fit with the Chevelle console there's like half an inch not even a quarter inch on each side before it touches the console. . . The Monte console is about that bigger than the Chevelle AT LEAST. . . Tell you the truth bro I don't even remember I know they're under a grand or at least they were before this crazy inflation. That is seats and brackets
Looks amazing! I’m doing new door panels on my 70 right now as well. Did you have any issues with the weather stripping affecting the panel fitment? I can’t get mine to sit flush on the latch side. (May have to trim stripping underneath panel?) Keep up the great videos!
No I just tucked it under on the top and left it exposed on the bottom It stayed down and straight but no one really gets in the back. When I was a kid getting in this thing I used to kick and step on that strip all the time and it started getting all bent FYI 🤷🏽
I have a very similar setup. UMI extended travel…I’m sorry if I missed it, I’m having trouble hearing, what brand coilover and spring rate did you use? How do you like the spring rate you chose?
Viking, I believe they're 550 I don't remember I was planning on changing the spring makes anyways once car is corner balanceed. . .didn't pay much attention to them sorry.
I wouldn't say difficult at all, You just have to fine tune it for how you drive, where you rest your throttle position cruising in correlation to when you go to full throttle and what it to kick down. if you can adjust a throttle cable u can just a kick down no problem.
Man, I can so relate to your comment about all the people showing us the pretty stuff and not the problems! Your fix for clearance looks really good, perfect actually. Been going through a bunch of similar stuff trying to get my hydraulic clutch bracket right for the push rod angle. Bought two different brackets and still had to cut and weld the best one to get things right. Oh, I went through the same battles with DSE mini tubs and getting the right axle width (56") for my wheel/tire combo. Love my Miller too!
Awesome build and video. I am doing the same thing more or less on a 9" for my 70 Camaro. Wilwood makes a nice axle tube clamp for the hard line to braided hose connection I found. It might work to help hold the line too near your third member if you find you need it. I need to figure out how I am going to mount the distribution block like you did. Maybe make a bracket like Currie sells that is bolted on using the third member bolts. Anyway, thanks for posting your work for us following on behind you!
Glad it helped you out Appreciate the kind words sir 🤙🏽 That's good to know I'll have to look into that! I'm debating whether to run another set of lines for a hydro e brake and a second set of calipers and I don't want to have to grind weld and paint again Good to know there might be another option. That curry bracket look like the best option over what I did but I didn't know if the spacing would be the same didn't want to take the chance it's not very cheap 😂
Glad it helped out 🤙🏼 I've turned downs they don't go over the axle there's a video of the exhaust I did. shouldn't be a problem with the angle of the top mount and the edges cut on gas tank like is in my video. Mine run 3-in with the same setup.
That's hella true!!! It had been a long time since I did a transmission filter on a Chevy when I did this video 😂 I put it in the notes for the video for the next guy though. 🤙🏼
You know what I'm not sure. I did find little nicks on my oil pan powder coat but I'm not sure if that was when I was working on it or when it was driving. I took the little grease fittings off the end links just in case. 🤷
@@mannysolis4588 when i put them in i did check they didn't hit for sure!! i lowered the car a lot and changed steering knuckles I either hit it when i put them in or they started to hit after that work was done. when i hade stock steering and 2* drop did not hit.
Nice video, let us know how it goes. I’ve heard conflicting views on running these, as they effectively bleed off oil pressure from the main bearings which isn’t great.
Thank you and will do!! I've heard that as well my logic is that oils bleeding everywhere already so shouldn't be a problem 🤞🏽 debating on putting an accu-sump in anyways. . . we will see 🤷
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the videos coming. Nice looking parts. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT brother
Appreciate the support, Yeah let's get some more car info on these interwebs. 2024 you shouldn't have problem finding info on anything. well definitely be doing my part!!
Appreciate it! Yeah they do cost a lot more than other companies for similar sadly. . . That's how most true made in America stuff is nowadays. . . They're coming up in the next videos, Oliver Speedway.
yeaaaa sorry I didn't mention that thought it was obvious, This block is far from done also mentioned in the video 🤷 that it's still going to the machine shop. 😂 but I appreciate you watching it though bro!!;
Yes I agree with you sir. The only experence I have with piston oil squiters is in my 250cc V-twin (N/A) motorcycle. But now it's got an oil cooler also and I can reach down and feel that cooler to see how warm it is, and when I start the bike from dead cold it only takes about 10 seconds of running and that cooler to begin getting warm. And then after only about 30-40 seconds the cooler is already up to where you can't touch it... So that seems like to me that's a pretty good indication of how well piston oil squiters actually do work.
Yeah that's a good first hand explanation and example, I do have a thermostat controlled cooler on this car but I'm going to upgrade it to one with a fan. Also wireing in an oil temperature sensor for monitoring and set up for some safeties and the fan controller settings. , That seems to be the information I'm receiving from most; is be aware of your oil temperature. . . rightfully so, right as it would be taxing to the function of your oil itself.
Yeah there used to be a company I believe they're jig was purple like bright purple when I first found out about these, I couldn't find them so I went with these guys 🤷
