I'm OaNa aka Miss Mouse and the Doll House is about my doll collection journey and craft related content. The scales I'm preferring for this projects are 1:6, 1:4 and 1:3 as these are the doll sizes I'm collecting.
We are learning together how to paint and mod our dolls, how to create accessories such as eyes, wigs or clothes. We are looking at different dolls through short unboxings. We are even creating rooms and small dioramas.
At the time when I had her I was not able to buy clothes for her and honestly I did not knew what to go for as she was literally my first doll on the bigger size. Now, looking back and knowing how SD clothes look as size and proportion, I would go with SD13 tops, shorts, skirts. For long pants I think we either have to make them or modify bigger ones. But I do have a question, were you able to find shoes for her? She has a thicker foot than MSDs 😊

Mine got a new home meanwhile, I was not able to accommodate her size and heaviness. But somehow I miss her and I still have a ComiBaby head that needs a body. I'm thinking at the Myou chubby baby body ☺I may try again next year to accommodate this size. They are very beautiful and the bodies on the bigger size, therefore easier for us to sew detailed clothes for them. Thank you for reminding me this, this babies do not have too many fans I guess. We have to appreciate them more 💖

Aww thank you my dear Younan 🤗 Was quite fun to create such diorama but I will work on a new one that will fit my new storage space. I plan to make it even more realistically and maybe a bit more complex. I really like that realistic feel but I have to try more to accomplish it.

Thank you dear Younan. It's such a great body quality wise but might not be everyone's cup of tea. For me it works best with big heads in terms of proportions and I'm starting to see more and more on Instagram too. If you'll have one, I'd love to see which head you will use with it ☺

I have all kinds of YMY bodies and every skin tone. 😂 From 1/12 to 1/6 bodies. Using only nendoroid heads surprisingly they are super suitable for any types of ymy body.
I think they are working towards covering a great need of cute bodies for different sizes from common to odd ones. I also think this comes along with the BJD hobby where now everyone is searching for somehow articulated bodies and with the artists customizing all kind of dolls with simple bodies. I do appreciate their work and the quality of their dolls. I was honestly amazed and now I have 6 1/6th YmYs and at least 2 more coming :)) And I need a 25cm boy too :)))
@@stepfather1423 awww congrats for your first big doll. I did not had the courage to get one but I do need a bigger body for a head I have. Let me know how he feels in terms of size and heaviness, how easy is to manipulate such a big doll, to dress it and all other details you can share. For the YmY 25 I have a Licca boy in need and I honestly did not found other better options for boy bodies. There is the Azone one but a bit smaller as my Liccas and Ruruko are on Obitsu 24 bodies and I just need sometihng about that size
@@tinkeranime oh, I'm really sorry. I never had issues with that. I think the blue one is the stickiest I've used. In case of emergency you can try maybe double-sided tape? I've seen STO doll a few years ago doing this. Or even a small dot of hot glue but be careful not to destroy the wig. I hope something works, without damage 🤞
I use small quantities and spread it well at the beginning, on the wig cap. When I glue the hair I only warm up the existing glue, I do not add extra. However when it happens I smooth it out with the hot nib and whatever is extra I wipe on copy paper. Just use a a thick pad of copy paper (do not use soft absorbent paper, won't help) otherwise you will burn yourself.
☺ it's very fast but if you are a pefectionist you will have some hard times as the glue sometimes gets in the hair or the first wigs won't look that well until you figure how to do the top part....I haven't figured yet so I prefer to sew ones if I do not have patience for mistakes :)))

Thank you for asking! I had first to open her head at the top, pulled the old eyes and cut open the eye sockets. The new eyes were fitted in the sockets and I fixed them with a lot of hot glue this time. But you can use poster putty as well and it would be easier later if you would like to change the eyes again. I hope this helps, but if you have questions, don't hesitate to reach me!

Hi Nicole, I am afraid I have never had a Disney doll in my hands. Do you mean the small ones, Barbie size or the bigger ones made of vinyl (Disney Animator)? For Barbie size I would personally replace the whole body with something that I like more. @@themidnightmousedollhouseit is very challenging, i remember i have try like i was in 15 yrs pld to make barbie shoes, and damn it was a nonstop struggling and every idea i has was like backlash😂 there is always something wrong, not making shoe last, uses of glues, etc😂 its always something not right! Haha and i was almost 2 yrs not making doll shoes n i pick courage to make one again, and my god, its like a battle field😂
Oh boy, the smaller the shoes are, the harder they are to make in my opinion. I tried for Barbie too, when I was a kid and I only had clay at that time. They were such a fail and got me so frustrated :))) I only tried these as they seemed a bit bigger and I wanted to see how it feels. But I still find it as a messy process and as you say, there's always something going wrong and there's glue everywhere. I mostly prefer to buy them but as an exercise I find it nice to try from time to time, just to see how it goes
