My uncles b20 Vtec on his 1990 Integra he converted obd1 and used a Po6 obd1 ECU from a 92-95 EG Civic DX and added Vtec and chipped it anything works as long as it’s chipped for that tune basically the obd0 To obd1 conversation on the 90-91 Integra and even 3rd gen preludes are similar to the EFs and CRXs we found out minus converting DPFI to MPFI making the da9 and HF And SI models easier his tune is Chrome chip not the hondata but Chrome has its perks
Love the video helped some. I’m looking to swap a h23 into my 90 civic wagon. Have a complete donor car 94 prelude what do I need to take off the car to complete the swap? If need be I can send my number to get into contact with you.

Obd2 computer (ecu)can be fooled by at the ecu plugs by jumping the ckf wires to ckp On obd1 ecu you leave it unplugged or you cut the plug off whatever you wanna do or leave it plugged onto the sensor itll never do nothing on obd1 because obd2 and obd1 have a crank sensor inside the dizzy Obd2 honda they just added that crank sensor externally to make extra money when those went out by oil leaks..obd2 dizzys as well have the crank sensor inside the ecu so yeah
Thanks for that video I'm dealing with the same issue can I delete that box using the obdo ecu or I have to to get a obd1 set up just for now by the time a get those injectors
Your problem wasn't the clear coat needing reducer. Shopline jc830 is a spot and panel clearcoat, it'll pinch up really quick especially if you don't use a slow hardener. Jc630 with slow hardener at 4:1, with 3 coats is the way to go. Light sand and polish after and it'll look very nice
Hi Speedboy, Hoping you still read these comments. did a JDM D15 swap duel vtec, into a 1991 HF CRX. Have the Rywire harness, everythings hooked up. No resistor box due to obd1 injectors. We are not getting any injector pulse, car starts on starting fluid but wont start without it. Has spark and fuel, just seems to be an issue with the injectors not pulsing. How do we fix or trouble shoot this? cheers
You’re usually not supposed to reduce clear, it’s more or less your Gun being cheap, I use a black widow for clear, and base, the base being reduced and the clear being shot un-reduced. I use a dedicated primer gun for just primers. Reducing clear tends to weaken it, while it may last a while you effectively cut its life in half.
How many quarts of base coat did you need to paint the entire car? I have a DA Integra as well and I plan on repainting it OEM Jasper Green (its faded to hell). Good job man, i show that it can be done
Its gonna be my first time painting with the right stuff a 29 gallon compressor and 1 already have 2 guns one is eastwood concours and the other is a cheap Amazon it i probably start off with to practice
Always tune on open loop and when your done and switch back to close loop you want your S and L trims to remain close to 0 as possible. In a perfect tune its possible but its harder then you think.
Great job and excellent color!!!.........when I was in college I painted a vw big and thanks to you I want to diy paint again!........what is the color and brand paint?
Compared to alot of other you tube first time car painters.......you killed it lil homie. ....I sure hope mine comes out this good.....love that color!!!
How did you dry the air? Did the air go from tank to gun...or was there a separator in your line? That tank has to have a lot of water in it after painting a car with such a small tank. Let’s see the finished job! :)
It's cheaper by the gallon and u will need a gallon to paint a mid size car the 4th guart is free when you buy it by the gallon. I buy mine at paintforcars.com ck out there paint kits.
That's an insanely good paint job considering all the limitations you had. Crappy space, crappier compressor, and the worst lighting ever. Great results and I especially give you kudos for completely painting areas like under the hood door jams, underside of the hatch. Your professional approach led to a great result. It could've easily turned out to be a complete hack job, but it's decent!
